Last Update: May 02, 2012

I recieved this in the mail this morning and thought I would post it for all to see, proving again quality is King and what follows the King...may be surprising....may not be.....worth taking a look at....

We asked more than 1,500 search marketers about the effectiveness of their top SEO tactics. More than half of all CMOs report that content creation is a very effective tactic to improve their SEO rankings. Keyword research was close behind, with 43% finding this strategy very effective. So, fishing, you don't do any work on backlinks (i.e. you don't try to get them)? Rather, you just give good content on your site? That's your strategy? Just curious. Thank you for sharing this post, by the way.

I do ttry for backlinks yes I do, but content seems to be the better way... not to say backlinks are not important they are but they need to be natural and relevant backlinks....but for now my most powerful tool seems to be content.....and of course I try to keep my site SEO friendly as possible....everybit helps....qualtiy content should be your main staple though....

Proving the ultimate combination for a SEO campaign is...

Quality Content + Quality Research

If you do this, the success will follow. Unfortunately most people spend more time worrying about their special "SEO plugin", "spinner", "backlinking campaigns"...or tool to try to game the system. If they invested that time and energy into content, it would get shared, they would get backlinks, and Google and other search engines would love them.

Thanks for the share!

I learned the hard way and will never make that mistake again....I am moving up in the ranks on my site without any backlinks since I came alive again....and just adding quality content...it just seems so simple now that I know what and how to do it....

Yeah, this is something I have been trying to tell people for quite some time. Quality content is way more important than backlinks and if you write "good stuff", you typically don't have to worry about getting any backlinks.

The people that are getting hit by Google Panda and Penguin are usually those that spend too much time on backlinks or are in general "over SEO'ing" there content which could mean many different things, but a lot of the time this comes down to keyword stuffing.
