Day 2 - Plugins Galore....

Last Update: January 05, 2012

I must admit that I am somewhat surprised with myself that I have stuck with this for so long. Here it is January 5th and I have still managed to keep the overwhelming feeling from taking its hold on me. I have also managed to login to WA on a consistent basis and have tried my best to participate as much as I possibly can, even though I am one who by far still does not have all the answers.

After spending some time in the forums, I got around to logging into my website to complete the tasks that Day 2 of the 30 Day Success Plan had lined up for me. Today I found myself faced with enabling/configuring all the plugins that came along with my WP Express site. While I had done the exact same thing about a year ago for jensinternetmarketingguide.com, I still found myself feeling somewhat like a newbie, particularly when it came to configuring the Google Analytics for my site.

Just like in the past, I found myself somewhat confused when Google told me that tracking had not been installed yet. What do you mean, not installed? I pasted that cryptic little code into the settings on my site, it should magically work, right?  How can I have 10 years exp in the IT field and yet find myself so confused by the inner workings of Google? Apparently it must have just been a timing issue as I just went back in and checked my account and it is in the process of acquiring data.

Beyond that, setup of all the plugins was pretty simple. I did add a few which I had installed on my other site, but I'm still wondering if there are any other plugins that I should consider adding? I already have one for the contact us form, but I find myself feeling somewhat lost when it comes to building a successful site.

If any of my fellow WA friends have suggestions on tried and true Plugins that I should add to my site, I'd love to hear them.
