I literally am paralyzed in my forward motion

Last Update: December 09, 2009

I thought I had things going well-- I finally had two websites that are up and running, I have the article writing down, I am signed up to create free backlinks and them wham!  I find I STILL have no sales on a product that is a top seller in Clickbank--

Apparently the Math product I am promoting has a opt in newsletter that loses you affiliate link quickly---  I read form Pot Pie that that opt-in newsletter page was a GOOD sign that the author wants to sell their product   It looks like for me it is a bad thing.

I literally do not know what to do.  I am paralyzed in my forward motion. I have over 40 articles, that follow Travis briangasm thing  target my audience, care about what I am writing about and give good content.  But I was also told they might be too intellectual--but my audience is teachers --- I am ready to also submit a spun version to a new article directory and participate in free back link offers

I cannot afford the thousand dollars I am told it will cost to have an SEO analysis--so I am stuck.  I am afraid to move on because I do not know what things I am doing right and which I am doing wrong--- for sure...

Do not worry I am not leaving WA  I paid for a year so I still have a bit over 6 month to go.

I was wondering if you would set up your own landing page to collect the peoples names and then use your own emails to follow up with them.send your own emails with your own affiliate link in the email. that is why having a auto responder is important. and if you send your clients through your affiliate link from your email then you can find out if the vendor is taking your clients and if so deal with it through clickbank

How do you know that your affiliate link is lost in the emails? I have heard of this but every one I have checked is good. A merchant may however offer other products in the emails that you would not get a commission from. :-(

Forget the SEO thing... The whole idea of WA is to learn how to do these things yourself. Everything that means anything is right here: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/share_zone/home/cid/3.

Congrats on 40 articles! They will do their job, just give them some time.

Good points and advice from Jay. To add: To be sure about the vendors opt-in, opt in for it yourself and see how the vendor handles things.

As a general rule, a vendor having an opt-in is GREAT! You get the potential customer to the sales page ONCE and then vendor continues to work to close the deal FOR you.

However, every now and then, I hear of vendors that over-ride affiliate links in their follow up emails. This is not common, but sadly, yes, it happens.

The only way to know for sure is to sign up for the vendors list and see for yourself what's going on.

Just hang in there! As Jay said, the time of year could have a LOT to do with this. My sister is a teacher and all she is thinking of now is surviving until Christmas break. Now, while shes ON break, she might work towards her teaching needs for 2010.

All the best!

A couple things:
1. Perhaps because it's so close to the holidays, parents aren't investing in education. Hang in there and see what happens in the new year.

2. Perhaps you should read Kyle post here:
