Happy Halloween!!! What?!! Midst the Snowflakes?

Last Update: October 30, 2011

We,  in  Northeast USA just had our first snow fall of the season, 19 inches in one place. Sure was pretty coming down. The coastal areas received less snow, but power outages are huge.  Luckily, we still have electricity. Happy about that. Snow is freaky, since we also still have roses  blooming in the garden. Trees have their leaves, so the snow is even heavier on them, causing many of them to come down.

Have you noticed how the seasons have been early?

Hope Mother Nature can wait till December to deliver the next storm.

Everybody who is trick or treating on Halloween should have no obstacles in their path, except for chilly temps and some residual snow on the ground.

We haven't had snow in October since 1991.

Hope you are all getting costumed and readied for trick or treating with the kids and/or that Halloween party at your friend's house.

Happy Halloween everybody!

Crazy storm it must have been, especially for October! Being in Wisconsin, I am prepared for a random snowstorm in any month, practically. Luckily we just got the lovely low 50's, windy, and side ways rain for Halloween. Had my kiddies all bundled up under their pirate costumes. They still looked cute as heck though, see my pic for details! Hope it all melts for you out there so you can enjoy what is left of the fall season.

Halloween is fun! Ours was truncated this year due to power outages. Fun anyway.

N. Calif here and still no coats and shirt sleeves even at night. Haven't turned on the heaters yet! Suppose to start raining by end of week... most likely will not stop til next May! Love snow... wished we were having some here... I know... crazy.

It was really beautiful coming down. Unfortunately, hundreds of thousands of people are without electricity as a result of trees falling on the lines. The reason that happened is because the trees still have their leaves, and the snow was even heavier on them due to that. Wonder if the leaves will still turn colors after the storm.
