Why You Need to Be On Street Articles NOW...
Last Update: July 13, 2012
Over the years I have written lots...to the tune of millions of words of content.
YES, millions of words. I think if you were a fly on a the wall, you would find it very revealing as to how much content I produce on a daily basis. 10,000’s of words.
However, most of this content never reaches the search engines. The reason for this is because a lot of what I write each day is content within Wealthy Affiliate, helping people, chatting with people, doing business, communicating with friends, Google Talk...
I can’t imagine how much traffic I would achieve if all the content I produced was targeted at search engines, but probably a good deal.
When I do write content for the web though, it is VERY important that I am not wasting my time. I want rankings, I want communication within my posts, I want my content to get social reach, and I want to be able to track the performance of my content.
And for all of the reasons I use Street Articles for a good deal of my web content when I am looking to get rankings and highly engaged, relevant people coming to a site.
Awesome Rankings
Ultimately if I am writing content for SEO purposes and it is not getting rankings, there is no point. In order to get high rankings and to do so in an efficient manner you have to either have a website that Google loves or in this case, you can leverage a website that Google loves (hint: Street Articles).
I am by no means saying that all of your content should go to authoring sites, but a decent portion should. I typically recommend that you diversify your rankings by putting 50% of your content on your site and 50% out there on other sites, my choice here being Street Articles. After submitting your content to Street Articles you will typically be ranked in Google’s search results within 15 minutes, usually no more than an hour at the max. Yes, you read that correctly. From the time your article is approved it will be less than 15 minutes before your content is indexed in the search engines.
Here is just one example...
In fact, based on analytics that we have for Street Articles, there are 10,000’s of search terms that hold the #1 ranking (overall) in Google within the Street Articles network of content. Amazing stuff and if you are regular contributor you can expect these sort of rankings.
There is a case study that you may want to read on getting rankings where I show you exactly how I was able to rank #1 in Google (screenshot above) in a niche I knew nothing about...organic milk.
Case Study: Organic Milk, Google, 19 Minutes.
Communication
If you are not writing content on a site (whether it is yours or an authoring site like street articles) that has an active community and that does not initiate relevant dialogue within the comments, then you are not optimized for search engines. Google, Bing and Yahoo are looking for active content because it means that people are interested in what you have to say...so others will be too (thus giving you higher rankings)
Social Reach - A portion of traffic these days is from search, but a growing trend is people seeing, viewing and engaging in content that they find within one of the many social networks that are out there. Street Articles capitalizes on these aspects and you have the capabilities to get a good deal of reach through the social share buttons including:
- Like
- Tweet
- Google +
Tracking Results
There are also some other side effects that happen when you write content on Street Articles. Not only do you get ranked under the keywords within your title (your target keywords), you will also get ranked under many other keywords that you probably didn’t expect to rank under.
Here is an example of one of the articles I wrote that is ranked on the 1st page in Google for over 100 search terms!
As you can see, Street Articles give you details as to where your traffic is coming from if it is coming from a search query in Google. This is pretty cool and it gives you a good idea of the real power of content creation.
You can also see your traffic data within Street and it will give you a good idea of traffic flucuations.
Mark to Market
If I am writing a “news” related article is important to me that moderation time is quick and that the actual article will get indexed first. A lot of the time the “first to the market” will reap all of the rewards for a particular article.
Examples of this are my Steve Jobs article when he passed or an article that was written about the Tsunami in Japan. If you are a news writer then it is critical that you can get moderated quick and get ranked quick and Street Articles will get you in front of a very active audience.
Trends, news and events are happening every day and you can capitalize on these because of the “mark to market” power that Street Articles has.
Getting MY Site Indexed Faster
Most people have a tough time getting their “niche” sites indexed, in particular when you have created a brand new site and it hasn’t quite gained popularity in the search engines yet. Street Articles can actually offer your website a huge boost because of the 2 links you are allowed to put to a website within each article.
If you write a quality article and you link to a relevant page on your website, you will be able to get your website pages indexed much quicker. What happens is that the Google spider will crawl Street Articles and then follow the links within your article to your page. Then your page will get indexed as a result.
What are MY results with Street?
Well, at the time of my writing this I have written a total of 74 articles and I have received 156,207 article views.
If I were to pay for this sort of traffic I could expect to pay a minimum of $0.50 per click, or $78,000+. Amazing really when you consider how much it is to pay for traffic and how much Street Articles has to offer you, your content, your business, and ultimately your long term success.
If you don’t have a Street Articles account, you need to go get yourself one. It will become instrumental to your business and as the feature set continues to improve at Street Articles (it always is), there will continue to be more revenue generating opportunities as a result of your writing.

There isn't a single good reason to pay for traffic if you can get it for free just writing quality content, and for it I'm already convinced, the best deal is definetely Street Articles. Congratulations for all the WAU-SA-Jaaxy staff!

I agree Kyle. After somebody gets there site set up, using SA will help a lot. There are a lot of other article directories out there, but I know I've always preferred SA. Honestly, the only thing I do to other article directories is setup a profile and then just add people or somehow 'get in touch' with other users. This creates more traffic views and an even larger following for myself. It gets boring clicking the button over and over again, but it's worth it in the long run. :P
As for what you said about Google indexing your site based from your links, that's an important piece of the puzzle. Despite how one shouldn't solely concentrate on inbound or outbound links to ones website, it is a great way to indexed faster regardless. Same goes with ping services. It's like weaving a shoe together. After you've weaved all parts of the shoe, you now have something to walk with. Reminds me of the book 'Walk Well, My Brother'.
I think once you understand it, it's pretty easy. You're bound to get at least 1,000 traffic for sure from just 1 article given you spend a little time & study a bit. Every article that gets 1,000 traffic, that's normally about 50 page views for your site. Times that by 10, you have 500 page views to your site. Then of course there's the ridiculous articles that get 100,000's of traffic views & so on.
Next, I think a lot of people write for the sake of adsense clicks. I did a lot of thinking about adsense, & I think the most I'd put down on my site would be like 1 maybe. I'd much rather get sales then adsense clicks. ;) I realize sites with articles like:

who write for purely information purposes might do so otherwise, but then you're not really doing online marketing. So yes, a bunch of adsense, ebay, and amazon links WITHIN the article hurts it (for an online marketer who wants real visitors to there sites), and I see this often with almost all other article directories out there.
Then finally, I think your quick rankings says a lot. Articles should be written with the idea of getting targeted traffic to there websites or at least Street Articles profile. I could go on but I'll probably stop there. ;)
Thanks for the post.
