Earnings Report: Here's How I Made $8,871.03 from Blogging in May 2019

Last Update: June 11, 2019

And you're inside the member's area (for free! There is no cost to be here right now) and can follow along the exact training I used to build a website that generates over $100,000 per year.

A quick note:

I do make money from recommending Wealthy Affiliate; HOWEVER, that money is NOT included in any of the earnings displayed below.

I want you to see what’s ACTUALLY POSSIBLE when you start your own website and not show off how much money I make getting people to sign up for this service.

If you have any questions about anything at all, pop into the comments at the end of the article and I will personally answer them myself.

Okay, mini-rant over.

Let's get to the good stuff:

Here's how I made $8,871.03 from my blog last month.

I focus on three primary ways of generating revenue through my website all of which are taught here at Wealthy Affiliate.

Just by creating a free account to read this report, you've already been given the tools and training to accomplish everything that I have below.

Here's how my website make money...

  1. Display ads: ads/banners on my site
  2. CPA ads: recommendations for free sites like surveys
  3. Affiliate marketing: selling someone else's service for a commission

More importantly, my website is working for me 24/7. It's always running in the background earning money.

If your goal in life is learn how to make a passive income to achieve financial independence, there is no better way than starting your own website.

Let's dive into more detail...

1. Display Advertising: $3091.03

These are the ads you may have noticed on my sidebar, and within the content of my posts.

Display advertising is my absolute favorite way to make money, because I literally don’t have to do anything other than write.

I hit publish, my posts get ranked in the search engines, people visit, I make money.

Best of all, pages can stay ranked for YEARS. Meaning work I do today can make me money over the next several years.

Income from display advertising is as passive as it gets.

Here’s how much I made last month from ads alone:

2. Cost-Per-Action (CPA) Income: $1,509.00

My cost-per-action (CPA) income is my fastest growing income pool.

CPA earnings require slightly more work than display ads.

Basically, CPA programs pay out when a visitor enters in their name and email to sign up for a free service like a survey company.

Just imagine getting paid 50 cents every time someone clicks on a link on your website. It's entirely possible.

Just look below:

These are just some of my top earners. I made around an additional $200 from other ad networks that I didn't include here.

Affiliate Marketing: $4,271.00

Affiliate marketing is one of the more challenging ways to make money, but it's also the most lucrative.

You make money by recommending a product or service and you receive a commission when someone makes a purchase.

For example, have you ever read a product review on a website and seen a link that says "Click here to see the price at Amazon.com!" That link is an example of an affiliate link. When you click on that link, then buy something at Amazon, the owner of the website gets a commission.

It's mostly challenging because it requires your visitors to purchase something.

Again, I didn't include all of my earnings here. There is at least another $500 in affiliate commissions that I received last month.

My grand total comes in at $8,871.03 for May.

Not a bad month at all!

And all of this comes from just one website.

While the money is nice...

More importantly, my website grants me the freedom to live my life the way *I* want to.

One of my life goals was to never have to work for someone else.

It never made sense to me that I have to spend my time making someone else rich while being confined to a 60 hour work week.

I want to live my life how I see fit and to me that means traveling the world as much as possible.
