Minneapolis Minnesota is where I call home. I am proud of the cool Arts scene in my city.

It is surreal that "Purple Rain" by Prince was released on this day June 25th 1984

I will never forget the first time I performed on the main room stage at First Avenue downtown Minneapolis where Prince filmed "Purple Rain".

I will never forget standing 6 feet away from Prince at Paisley Park during one of his after-hour performances at 3am. My brother Jesse Smith got to meet Prince, he was very nice to Jesse.

I have played that club many times. Thanks for posting this, brought back memories. I grew up in LaCrosse, WI and Prince in his very early days used to come down and jam with us to get away from the city. Small world......
