Facebook rolled out promoted posts in 2012 and they are starting to gain more and more popularity. I have not only run several Facebook Ads campaigns, I have tested the promoted posts system as well within Facebook.

My conclusion. FRAUD TRAFFIC.

If you want people liking your content from countries you have never heard of, then promoting your posts to "friends of friends" is the way you should go. If you like paying to connect with people that you have already worked hard to get to "Like" you, then promote posts.

However, if you want to spend your money wisely and see results with your ad spend, either enter into Google Adwords, BIngAds, and you can even try some targeted Facebook Ads.
