ANALYZING COMPETITION HELP!

Last Update: August 15, 2012
So I am a little confused on something here. I am doing a local business site for my dads company for Boise Id Cleaning Company's. I haven't done much to the site yet but my main keywords I'm going for are boise cleaning services/service and boise cleaning company's/company. The site domain is boisecleaningservices.com.

I was checking up on my competition, and on my browser for the keywords boise cleaning services and boise cleaning company Domain boisecleaningservice .org comes up at the top.

I was checking through his site trying to figure out why Google ranked him #1 and other then ranking high for the keyword Boise cleaning Service cause I've noticed they've used this keyword quite frequently I can't figure out why he's ranked high for Boise Cleaning company as well. I mean some of the other sites have all kinds of related keywords to him but he's out ranking them for some reason. I'm quite confused.

He has barely any content other then home page, no blog , no back links that I can find, nothing.

If anyone would like to spare a moment and maybe see if you can tell why they are ranked so high for those 2 keywords I'd appreciate it mucho's!!

Thanks for the great info guys! I'll have to check out that free tool at Traffic Travis. I'm currently using Ahrefs site explorer, so Ill have to check that one out as well.

They use the word company in the first paragraph. With just 753 "intitle results" for the term boise cleaning google probably associates the word. I use a free version of -Traffic Travis- which is pretty good if you're to cheap to buy the good stuff. I also use -niche mania- which is real inexpensive and not a bad tool. I consider myself a mad scientist when it comes to marketing and hate to spend a great deal on it until I find a measure of success that warrants it. I am by no means an expert, but I do have fun with it.

"Boise cleaning services" gets only 1260 exact search results with that name in title. "boisecleaningservice.org" is an exact domain name match and as a consequence will rank quite high simply for that reason. "Boise cleaning" gets only 753 exact searches with that name in title. I find 13 backlinks for the site with a pr of 2. The tool I am using indicates that the site does not listed in dmoz, does not use the name in title, description or H1 tag. It has very little content.

Your site shows up on page 3 position 3 for "boise cleaning services" term on google. Not bad for having no content. Your site does not have a ranking keyword in the site description (@ personal touch cleaning.?) So it ranks on page one for the term "Boise personal touch cleaning".

I guess what I'm getting at is that "boisecleaningservice.org" does not have any real competition. You can easily dominate the serps for almost any keyword you choose if you optimize your site and or pages for them because you don't have much competition and a .com with an exact domain name.

Hopefully this gives you some ideas.

Thx for the reply and your absolutely right about the exact domain name. I'm sure when I get some more content I'll jump right up there as well for the term "Boise Cleaning Services" since it's exact for my domain.

I just couldn't figure out why Google was ranking him #1 for the term "Boise Cleaning Company" . He doesn't have that keyword phrase in his site once and I wasn't able to find any back-links for him either. Just thought it was kind of weird, unless he's getting that power from the Domain and then having company through out his content.

Just curious what did you use to find back-links for him? I couldn't find any.

Either way your definitely right once I my dad's site all put together it's going to dominate for pretty much anything have to do with boise cleaning. As the competition is incredibly low.

Thanks for you input though, I appreciate it.

You can get most of those results from the free version of Traffic Travis.
