Hi All: I'd been holding to update this and spend too much time doing this aspect of the WA. I confess, I'd joined WA as I needed to understand the online channel of my fiancee's business (to which I'm a silent partner..she does all the work). I'd planned to drop out after doing that. After learning to drive leads to her business, I've come to enjoy this and the challenge/strategy of AM'ing. I'm enjoying reading the posts on how individuals are bringing this to a new level. A little about me, my day job is the running Key accounts at my company. It keeps me busy and traveling. It has been a great run and I've had a great time and met a lot of interesting people, but I'm looking for something a little different in life now. I've managed large teams of technology implementations with large clients for over 25 years. Unfortunately, I haven't been hands on for the last 15 years. It's been great getting back in again and actually doing vs managing the technology. It's been like learning a new language. The Afilliate Marketing opportunity seems perfect for what I want, so maybe someday I'll be able to do this instead of my day job...till then, my nights and weekends will be full learning more and more about AM. What a nice thought, to be free of constant required business travel, high stress, not seeing my kids and beautiful fiancee enough, and working a schedule on my own terms. Given those goals, AM seems to be a great match to where I want to go in life, so I am now making a serious run at this as it seems the best thing I've found that is suited to my long term goals.
I love skiing, golf, hiking, fine red wine, friends, watching the Red Sox kick the Yanks arse, and hanging out with my kids/fiancee, and summers in New Hampshire.
I've uploaded a picture of my beautiful fiancee and myself together. I was just going to upload myself, but decided that everyone would enjoy seeing her more, Maybe I should have uploaded her only given my looks. Ha ha.
Well, everyone have a great day and I wish all of you great success in life as that is the most important thing. IMHO financial and business success comes easily if you are pursuing things that make you happy and successful about life in general.

The first major league baseball I came for me was in Boston in 1956 when Mel Parnel pitched a no-hitter and Ted Williams knocked the ball out of the park. Parnel didn't trust the first baseman on the last out. He cought the ball and raced the batter to the base. How are things going or you here? John

Curtis,
Your posture, demeanor, candor, integrity, kindness, character and friendship are tantamount to incredible.
When one looks at the "world" in general one is hard pressed to find others willing to extend themselves in the manner those belonging to this forum seem to.
I am thankful for the blessing of those who so willingly extend themselves with the offer to be of help. It is refreshing to find others who are willing to give of themselves.
Regarding your "bulldogged determination" most often it seems that adversity is the "bench" where we find wisdom's way of knowing how and where to proceed.
I am glad to make your acquaintance and have your friendship.
My hope is you will not be offended if I ask to add you to my %u201Cbuddy list%u201D and leave you with a piece of gold.
Your new %u201Cold carpenter%u201D friend

Have absolutely no idea what happened - must be my old carpenter reflexes. LOL
Anyway, as I was saying, REALLY GOOD to hear from you. Hope your easter celebration was grand.
I've been toiling over PotPieGirls materials and am planning on starting my "journey" into article writing. Squidoo and WordPress seem to be the path I am going to choose to try and begin earning some money.
Long story short - carpentry is no longer something I am able to do - many reasons - have approx 6 months to learn a new career - IM - Pot Pie Girl who belongs to the WA forum has some really good material and I am reading everything she puts out. - Bum Marketing persona fide!! :-)
Let me know what kind of help I can be to you. Yeah right.
Told my lovely bride when this first began it was like someone took this old carpenter and placed him in the president's chair at Harvard and said okay you have 30 days to figure this out, oh and by the way there are no manuals. LOL
Now it feels like someone took this old carpenter and has said OK here's a 2nd opportunity. We're going to give you this great education so in about a year you can be earning a healthy income and with continued training your potential will rise from there. The amount you can make is dependent upon you level of willingness to educate yourself.
well I lied it wasn't so short after all.
I'm feeling like there really is hope after all that this isn't just a "dream" that would be nice, rather it is an achievable opportunity.%u2660
I've a observation about goals - it come from the Bible and Zig Zigler
Mr. Zigler once observed that "If I help enough other people get what they want they will help me get what I want%u201D. Zig%u2019s point was %u201Chelping people%u201D.!!!
Curtis something we both already know is that the real money comes from helping others rather than focusing on the dollar amounts.
Just my encouragement for you.
Hey, I%u2019m really jealous :-) that you already have a campaign up and running!! Well almost anyway. Hope you get all the kinks worked out. That is the part I am in the process of learning %u2013 how to start that process with virtually no money for a operating budget. This is why PPGirl was such a God send for me. My budget is almost non-existant. Prasie God for my wife%u2019s job and her support in this endeavor.
I really believe article writing, once I learn how, will be great fun and a fulfilling way to earn a living.
May you efforts be blessed with great challenge that you will learn all you need to know.

Greeting Curtis,
Thank you for allowing me passage into your part of the world, it has been fun and instructional
this is the reason I hate joining sites like these, I one has to leave then the friendship seems to go with it.- can't afford to keep us the dues, have not worked at my carpenter trade in about 6 weeks and I'm not yet making any money with IM, but I do intend that to happen. :)
If you like please feel free to write me at imhshre@bellsouth.net
Here is a trick to make the fonts larger - while holding the "CTRL" key down continually hit the plus sign or the minus sign and most of your letter should get noticably larger or smaller
blessings upon you

Hi Reeder: No worries. Glad I could help. It's great that you and Ami are building a good relationship. I think it is pretty cool that this forum brings together so many people around the world. I hope you are doing well in absorbing all the info. It is confusing at first, but if you stick with it, it seems to finally click. I can only equate it to learning a new language in my experience. Some people are able to naturally pick it up....Other's like me have to study and reread till 3 AM in the morning every night then do again. Always had to work harder than everyone else in school it seemed, to achieve the same levels...and that seems to be the way in life for me. It's given me the the bulldog mentality to plow thru challenges in life with a focus on getting where I want to go and seems to have served me well. I don't expect anything different in this. That is, Hard Work and Success on the other end. Cheers and let me know how you are doing. If I can help in anyway let me know as well. Curtis

Hi Reeder: I hope things are going well for you on the "campaign" trail :-). OK, my humor stinks at 7AM b4 my second cup of coffee. Ha ha. I sent a WA email to you Friday or Saturday and just noticed it is still stuck in my "outbox" The WA email is probably not the best in the industry. :-). If doesn't go thru in the next couple of days, I'll cut and paste over to the forum. Cheers, Curtis

I found a pretty good google KW price estimator tool..plus they have a few other good pieces of info to help on various aspects of internet marketing. You have to sign up first, then you can go into your acct and use the tool. http://tools.seobook.com/

Thanks for the note and advice. Looks like you've been around the block with the internet marketing and it sounds like this site has helped you a lot. I'm just figuring out how to do it but am seriously motivated. I'm tired of being a road warrior running client engagements on the road. This seemed like the perfect opp to do constructive things from my hotel room instead of dinner/bars out every night. I'm still just taking in all the courses right now to familiarize myself. I've set a goal to start doing something within the first 2 weeks...my first foray. Good luck on your jouney and thanks for for the newbie get started tip. . Liked the pic of the guy in the glass :-). Curtis
