My Personal Development blog

One of the sites I've been working on is my personal site with my name as the domain. I did however tackle different stuff in this site, things that I'm personally interested in. And one of them is Personal Development.

So I wrote a blog today for that category.

Jan - It easier to read but it's the background that needs to be white and the font black. What you have is still difficult for a lot of people to read. Sorry to go on about it.

I'll look into that. But I think I can't change the background of the theme. I might have to change the theme altogether. I actually chose this theme cause I personally like a bit of dark background rather than the usual white. But if it doesn't work for most people then I might have to change it.

I've decided to change my theme Beverly. It's now on white background and black text. Check it out and let me know what you think. Thanks!

Hi Jan - black font on a white background is most commonly used because it is the easiest for the majority of peope to read. You can have different colours on your headers, footers, etc. I created ths training on colour for websites - this may help

I was very interested in your artice as I write on similar things - it was very good.

You do however, in my view have one major problem with your site and that is the them or colours you are using. t's well known that white (or grey) text on a dark background s incredibly dffcult to read and in my view you should change it as a matter of urgency or people will not read the good stuff you have to share.

Hey jan, great post and so true! I also believe that the people we involve ourselves with become big influences in our lives. I got caught in the trap of hanging around people that started to influence me in negative ways. I've been lucky to see the light (thank god) and chose to surround myself with people who inspired me to better myself and change my destructive habits. Surrounding yourself with positive influences can, and will change your life.

I'm also in the process of starting my own blog related to personal development and Internet marketing so I look forward to following your progress. Keep up the good work mate.

I can so relate with you, peer pressure can really be a tough force to reckon with. Sometimes you make decisions to get the approval of the people around you and sometimes that can be detrimental to your progress as a person. But it's always good to evaluate now and then who we hang out with and what kind of influence they are bringing to our lives.
