Chocolate - there I’ve said it!

Seriously though, some days in the crazy world of IM are truly amazing. It’s the little successes that do it really. On Monday this week I posted this in the forum whilst talking about backlinks and problems with one of my sites:

This site has felt the full wrath of Google. I outsourced a
load of backlinks about 5 months ago from the same source
I've been using for all my sites and this site dropped off completely
for all of the terms it was ranking for. I'm still sending links
but nothing seems to work. Hopefully at some point it will
bounce back to page 1.  

 Well yesterday the site bounced from nowhere Ville, complete oblivion, to page 1 of the big G and made 3 sales in fairly quick succession. The site has since ducked back under cover and can’t be found but that only means that Google is looking at it and is trying to figure out where it belongs.

I’m now going crazy on getting *quality* backlinks to the site in order to help Google ‘decide’ where it belongs. If I can get this up there it could be huge for me as the terms I was ranking for yesterday get massive traffic and are clearly motivated buyers.

I’m sooooooooooo excited!

Backlinking, bookmarking, RSSing is such a dull chore but it is all so so so worth it when things start to go your way. Just keep at it and PLEASE don’t be afraid to aim high. If I told you some of the things I’m trying to rank for you would think I’m crazy but 7 month later it’s all looking like it was totally worth it.
