A New Carreer...I Hope
Last Update: June 01, 2010
About a year ago I started a serious search for a way to use my "infernal machine" and the internet to bring in income that would be an augment to the pensions that my husband and I were now living on. We were helping our daughter and her daughter with their education..our grandaughter taking "audio engineering" and our daughter was upgrading her photography skills with the hope that she could get back to her first love and make it her life's work. To get this education it meant living away from home and so rent, hydro, etc etc had to be taken into consideration never mind tuition which was very expensive. At any rate though they both worked as well as went to shool (the programs were all year round ... audion engineering was 4 year course in 2 years and photography 2 years in one) making ends meet was impossible without assistance. To make a long story short that is what made me start looking at the internet. Weeding out the scams was a constant...there are so many...they all sound wonderful BUT as I'm sure like me, many of you learned the greatest percentage are schemes...then I found WA and so far I haven't found anything on the negative side and so I took the plunge. I know now how much I have to learn. First of all I've never written a BLOG before...so this is a beginning. Over the years I have been an executive secretary working with the Dept of Defence. My husband is ex military...Royal Canadian Air Force and so we are well travelled as well. When he retired from the service after 20 years we started a gift shop which eventually became 3 stores and then came the bad times and who needed shops like ours....thousands of dollars in debt and we had to start all over again. Having been a "dog" person all of my life I started a boarding kennel and grooming business and hubby went back to the electronics trade. My daughter and I also began to show our Afghan Hounds and Salukis and I bred the odd litter. Though not boarding or grooming for others any more we still have a wonderful Afghan Hound that we will show later this year and an equally wonderful Saluki. So that's me up to now...
