Middle-aged midwestern Mom - no the photo is not me, its my youngest son. I'm kinda proud of it because I took the photo. I don't have a good photo of me so for the time being this one will serve as a stand-in. I've been trying to learn the secret to internet marketing ever since I learned there was an internet - about 15 years ago. I'm excited about WA because it has the ring of truth to it. I've read a lot of bogus ebooks and websites about the subject and I've heard a lot of hardcore baloney but this stuff rings true. And I hope to prove it.

I've been a secretary, a typesetter, a factory worker, an electronics technician, a computer technician, an office manager, a forklift driver, a taxi driver and dispatcher, and am now working in a nursing home in what amounts to being a waitress in the dining room. After all of this, I've come to the conclusion that I don't like work. I do like playing around on the computer, I like travel, I like photography, I like jewelry making, I like gadgets, I like natural healing or folk medicine, I like animals, I like helping people and I like words, math and science. I figured I should be able to put them all together and come up with some way to support myself without having to go out everyday and work my butt off for someone else. This is my big try. I'm gonna give it another go.

Welcome to the WA family

Hi karbruk...I'm on week 1 of the 8 week program. There sure is a lot of information on the WA site! I see you have had a number of jobs over the years.....same here. I finally settled down and became a school teacher but am about to give it up. I plan on learning from WA how to replace my income from teaching. Like you I enjoy math and photography. I also sense the truthfulness and sincerity of WA. If I can help in any way just ask and if I can, I will. Best of luck.

Hi again.....I'll take you up on your offer to buddy up. It's a good idea too have others in the same boat and going in the same direction.

Hi Karbruk....lots to do isn't there? So much to learn and apply...no wonder so many fail at online businesses! Most people will not take the time to educate themselves. A little quote I have in my classroom: "Make an effort, not an excuse!" So continue to give your best effort.....keep in touch,
Scott

Hi, Novascottie; Thanks for the visit. I laughed when I read your blog entries. I, too, have to remember that I have a day job but at home at least I don't have anyone bugging me to get off the computer. I read somewhere here in spaces that some who had joined at the same time should keep in touch to help and encourage one another. I've been fooling with the internet and internet marketing for a number of years and I am familiar with many of the things discussed in the tutorials - just didn't know how to make it all come together and actually work. I'd be pleased to offer any help I can so feel free to ask. Shall we buddy up and try to snag onto other newbies? I've been posting comments to cocoa(something) who has been posting entries to the sharing page. He's a newbie, too. I like his writing and his outlook. You might want to check him out.

Hey, Scottie, just wanted to drop by real quick and tell you to read Travis Sago's tutorial called Article Marketing. It's fantastic! What a motivator! Sorry I can't tell you how to find it but it you can't locate it I can email it to you because I saved it on my computer. It's a must read.

Whoa! Talk about a bunch of overachievers! What an interesting bio. I would love to be able to travel like you have but I don't have the resources. If I want to visit a place, I have to move there. One of the things I hope to be able to accomplish in becoming a successful internet marketer is the ability to travel/live whereever I want. Thanks for your wish for success. I hope you achieve everything you wish for.

Hi karbruk, hey, that's a pretty good lookin' son you have there..Somewhat reminds me of my youngest, but I won't say how many years ago. So this cocoa person....hmmm.
I had to chuckle when I read that! Yes, if you get the opportunity to buddy up with a few people, it's amazing what you can learn from each other. I did it out of sheer self defense! I'm a klutz on the computer, but I have to tell you that since joining here I have picked up all manner of little goodies.
And with respect to our little gang of merry men, and not to forget the ladies here as well, we are getting along like a house on fire. Squidoo lenses popping up left and right, getting the keyword research down to a science, and just generally having a great time.
I see by reading your bio there is just one thing missing.....you don't seem to have flown the SPACE SHUTTLE!
Have a good one!

Hi again, well I just happened to spot it a few seconds after you wrote the buddy message. Bt now you have found out that as soon as you post, it pops up in the spaces. It moves down pretty fast due to the number of posts. I'm sure I miss most of them.

Hey! How did you hear about that cocoa(something?). I was just telling Novascottie what a good, encouraging article you write. Do you mind if I horn in on your buddy group? I'd love to get some feedback and tips myself.

Hey, Keith. Just wanted to share some information I found VERY motivating. It's Travis Sago's tutorial called Article Marketing. He really gives you a step by step how to. Now I can't wait to get started. Look it up or if you need, I can email it to you. I wish there was some way to send a message to everyone on your buddy list at the same time. Do you know anything about that?

Hi Karbruk....Great Sites!
Thats a nice picture of your son as well. Did you do any photoshop to the picture?
blustraggler Premium
Hey Karbruk! You are the first one to ever ask about my name.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Blue stragglers (BSS) are stars in open or globular clusters that are hotter and bluer than other cluster stars having the same luminosity. Thus, they are separate from other stars on the cluster's Hertzsprung-Russell diagram. Blue stragglers appear to violate standard theories of stellar evolution, which holds that stars formed at the same time in a cluster should lie along a clearly defined curve in the Hertzsprung-Russell diagram, with their positions on that curve determined solely by their initial mass. Since blue stragglers often lie well off this curve, they may undergo atypical stellar evolution.

May I ask where in the Mid West you are from? I live in Minnesota.
karbruk Premium
Hi, blustraggler. I like that id. Are you blu or are you into blus? I took a look at your maybach. That's quite an ambition. Hope you make it. Thanks for visiting my lenses. I did use Photoshop but only to crop and remove some tiny little people walking in the background. Time to go study some more. Have a good one!

Hi, Kathleen! I loved your post about blustragglers. I love astronomy! I live in Missouri where it's hot and humid all summer. I hate humidity! One day I'd like to live on the Northwest coastline. I don't think I've ever been to Minnesota but I've been in Colorado, Nebraska and Iowa and I lived in Spain for two years. I remember you saying something about not getting very far in your internet marketing. I wanted to share something with you that has me very excited and I think it might help you take off. Check out Travis Sago's Bum Marketing tutorial. I can't tell you just where I happened to find it because I've been all over but I saved the pages (there are three) and can email them to you if you can't find it. This is real good information and now I feel ready to launch my marketing campaigns because of what he wrote. Check it out and best wishes for your success!
