I've been trying to figure out hop linking for ages, and I had two great mentors giving me advice. I tried doing it today, but it didn't really work.I did manage to get the ad and picture on my post, but it's not where I'd like it and it's messed up the text. What am I doing wrong? Is there a way to put a widget in one page only, so I can put an ad in the side bar of that page and not in all the other pages? I know question, question, question! I'm so confused, maybe I'm not meant to have a website:(

Hi Linda - you have got it. You got the code in. I have been in and changed the position. I have actually put it in twice so it appears above and below thefold.

If you switch to the HTML view I added two bits of coding inside the affiliate code close to the beginnig - these were float:right; and padding:5px . This told the first link to appear on the right side of the page and to leave a space of 5 pixels all the way round. If you wanted more space you would just change it to 10 or 15. There is no right or wrong it is just a matter of taste.

For the theme you have you cannot have different items in the sidebars on different pages. My suggestion is that you just put the book on the appropriate page
