First of all, thank you--all of my lovely WA buddies--for the words of support and the great questions.  What a treat it is to get excited about something, share it in a blog, and hear so many thoughtful and positive responses.   What fun! So I thought it might be a good time to share a little on progress and ranking, since we're all learning from one another here.   Site #1--the portable car heater niche blog--is now ranking 38 in Google for its keyword.  It's #9 in Yah

We random-thinking, right-brained types often envy the linear, sequential, dot-the-i's-and-cross-the-t's types.  But sometimes I am reminded that the sequentials have their moments of envying the randoms too.  I was sitting with a friend last night who, after listening to one of my stream of consciousness jags over phad thai, blurted out, "How do you get your mind to DO that?" My jaw dropped, because she's someone I'm always a bit in awe of.  An ex-CIA analyst, karate bl

One of my Wealthy Affiliate buddies asked me today how I was tackling the product research on my "micro niche" blogs.  Great question.  I'll do my best to answer.  (And as always, I feel the need to issue my humble disclaimer:  I'm not profitable yet.  Believe me, you'll all get sick of hearing me talk about it once I am.  But for now...this is just about trying to get a "flow" going.  If it's helpful to anyone else, I'm glad.  First,

The following is from my new blog, 100 Blogs in 365 Days:  Great question?  What exactly is it that I think I'm going to accomplish by putting myself on a schedule to pump out a couple of Wordpress blogs per week? Well, the story goes something like this.... A few months ago I plunged wholeheartedly into the Wealthy Affiliate University community.  One of the smarter things I've done for myself since making the decision to work 100% from home.  I figured, at the very lea

Anyone need to wind down and just enjoy something kind of sweet and silly? I heard this song by the Weepies and went looking for a video on YouTube. I found this Claymation version of it that tickled my funnybone. Enjoy. :-)

I'm "reprinting" what follows from my brand-new Blogger blog:  100 Blogs in 365 Days.  It's going to serve as the "process blog" for my microniche-blogging journey.  Fingers crossed...the only failure lies in not trying, right? Perfectionism.  It'll kill ya.  The very first blog I ever set up was, in tribute to the poet T.S. Eliot, titled, "Visions and Revisions."  Umm, the title turned out to be sadly prophetic.  I ended up doing

You have to watch this video all the way through.  There's a surprise in the middle.  My children, ages 21 to 10, agree.  (And they thought this little video was cool too!).  Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RqO2fXukLJk&feature=related

Since several people seemed interested in Steven Resell's Super Simple Blogging, I thought I'd reprint here the latest coaching I've gotten from Steven.  Last post I mentioned that I'd gone through all of the free videos on the supersimpleblogging.com site--and I recently decided to take part in Steven's pilot personal-coaching project, which he opened up to a handful of people (first-come, first-served basis) a couple of weeks ago.  So I'm getting some hand-holding with this stuff ri

You know how sometimes you just find yourself coming back to one thing over and over?  You get jazzed about something else that looks good, check it out for awhile, learn new techniques...and then you get this nagging feeling that there's still unfinished business with that other thing that was so intriguing. Well, I've been coming back to this one free site for tutorials since Feb. now.  I bumped into a guy named Steven Resell, on the Warrior Forum.  I was determined not to becom
