My name is Melissa. I had been looking into internet marketing off and on for about a year and finally decided to sign up with Wealthy Affiliate. This will be the first time that I have actively participated in an online community and I will do my best support my fellow WA members any way I can. I gained some traditional marketing experience as well as fundraising experience working for a nonprofit in Washington, DC for four years so this will be a bit of a change for me.

My stepmother always asks me about the latest book I'm reading and ends up rolling her eyes when she finds out its yet another business or marketing book, but I love this stuff and look forward to creating a business out of it on my own terms.

I also enjoy traveling, cooking, watching movies and a daily dose of chocolate! I would love to learn how to snowboard, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. Maybe next winter.
