Street Articles CTR - an obvious disocvery

Last Update: April 09, 2012

I guess I should have paid attention to the advice given to me so many times - pictures help your CTR.  I ignored this for quite a while, being too lazy to add a pic before submitting my article.  I recently started to do this and say my CTR skyrocket. While I was averating about 2% before, I'm now getting about 5%. Same topics, same niche, same KW.

Just that it's a pain find a picture that you have rights to. Even finding one to buy can be tough depending on the niche.

I discovered the same thing. Adding a picture brings your article to life. The early articles didn't have that option. Tempted to go back and add pics, but may just let it be, and add images going forward.

Yeah, think about content that you read online. Is it more interesting if you can see a visual with the content...I think the answer is always yes. It is the difference between reading a novel and an article, if your article has no image it will feel like an endless novel to the visitors. Images create interest, and images make people read your actual content.

I think you will find that engagement will go up as well!

It is a pain sometimes uploading a pic. I find that editing the pic first saves one heck of a lot of trouble. Firefox sometimes froze up or stopped working while loading so I moved to Chrome. That solved all my problems. John

Using a screen capture tool (free or a paid one like SnagIt) can really lead to easy image development. Just a suggestion.
