I am one of the silent members on here. My life has been busy and I only came here occasionally to read and learn a few new things. When something came up I needed to know I could usually find it here. It was my dream to be able to retire with IM and stay home and take care of my husband who was disability retired.
Many shiny things came along to distract me. My job in healthcare changed also and required more attention. My dream seemed further away. Now it is gone. On February 1st my husband passed away.
I am filled with a lot of what if's and if only. My "job" had changed (after new training) from 4 to 3 days a week so I did have more time at home with my honey. I am thankful for that. He was critically ill for only a couple of days. I am also thankful for that.
We are a family with a lot of faith and I believe that we will be reunited again some day. In the meantime, life goes on without a very important part for me. I will be ok and so will my sons. It will just take some time.
This community has the ability to help each of you realize your dreams if you will just apply yourself to what is taught here. If you don't apply what you learn here then it will just stay a dream and some day it will be gone. Is that what you want?
The internet is changing daily and if we want to have skills that work now then we must stay with something (like WA) that keeps us up to date.
My dream of staying home with hubby is now gone but I still want to have the freedom that internet marketing brings. There are things I still want to do that being tied to a "job" make it difficult to do. It may be a while before I can really apply myself, but I will get there.

Enjoyed reading your "About Me". Had to chuckle when I read about your introduction to computers. When I was faced with a computer, and it was Word, I actually cried, and I never cry. Now, you can't pry me loose. Thank you for the invite. We are now buddies. All the best. Joan

Baby Steps
Ok, you can only learn so much before you start putting some things in action. My problem is that perfectionism raises it's ugly head and tells me that my work is not good enough to actually put up.....if I don't like it then why should someone else respond to it..so, I haven't really done much other than blog occasionally and that usually without affiliate links. I am not a perfect person. Never have been and never will be. So why does my work have to be so perfect? So here comes a change in attitude and work is progressing. Mind you, I am taking baby steps and maybe that is what you need to do too. Every time I log in there is someone new who sees all this info and gets overwhelmed. You are not going to learn it all in a day, or two, or even a year. Concentrate on learning the basics. Start where it says "start here" and just take a few baby steps. Pay attention to the posts of Kyle, Carson, PotPieGirl and others who have been where you are now. They got there and you will too if you are persistent. That means persistent action. I am a good example of what not to do because I have been lurking in the background for two years. I have learned a lot but am just now actually taking action. There are a lot of shiny things out there that will trip you up, take your time and attention away from a proven method of earning online. WA was always there in the background for me for "when I got the time" to work on it. Started and stalled many times because of "shiny" things.
One thing that I have accomplished is to help a friend get her website online and get it optimized so that customers are finding her site and making purchases. That was done because of the things that I have learned here. It was easy and fun to help her. Why have I had a problem doing it for myself? Good question and I don't like the answer. Well, we live and learn.
