WA keyword tool now gets a "F"
Well, this is not going to sound good, but guys, you have dropped the ball on this one big time.
The WA keyword tool is now essentially a pain in the butt to use and in my opinion a waste of time, in school going terms it gets a big fat F!!
Here is why :
1) there is no facility to order the search results gained by any other order than the one served up. not by search volume, Article power,nothing....
2) try saving a keyword you have found to an existing list... if you cannot remember the exact name of the list, no go.... no drop down menu for existing lists.
3)The competition column now only shows "view result" exclusively... every time you want to check this, you must click on it again to get the result. It does not store the result once it is clicked.
4) exporting results can now only be done in a text file, what happened to the ever useful xcell spreadsheet?
Yes, we are only 10 days or so into the OEP and I expect "bugs" and I have reported them as such....but these functions were available on the "old " system. (if my memory serves...)
One must ask why were they done away with? A skeptical person may suggest it is a deliberate ploy to push members to Jaaxy.....
Keyword research is such an important part of the process ,and you guys stress that, to go this long with a sub standard tool does nothing for the reputation of WA., especially after the problems for many months before the change to the new interface.
I remember the advertising before I joined saying that WA had a "state of the art" keyword tool, or words to that effect. This is now a "backyard" tool and I am faced with having to go and find something more usable or suffer the time sink that the WA tool has become.
I had no idea where to post this, since the forum seems to have become a wasteland... I guess I'll have to wait and see if someone sees my blog post....

Phil

Hope this clarifies :)
The WA keyword tool lacks, we know that...it utilizes the same data set as Jaaxy, however yes, Jaaxy is far superior and this is the reason we are going to be offering it within WA...we just have to work out some of the more finite details before we roll this out as it will require system integration along with some fundamental logic regarding people that are already paying and people are not (which we have already thought through in detail).
In the meantime, if you don't like the tool use Jaaxy. 30 free searches and you can earn more credits simply by referring people to get more searches. :)
