you will see that their are loads of topics in the forum. If a certain topic spark some interest you can go and post a reply. You can also start a new topic. Hang out a bit in the forum you will understand it in no time. You can also search for certain topics - like ... squidoo lens, SEO etc, etc, etc. There is also sub topics for WA Hosting and site rubix. I usually get most of my answer4s there. You dont have to go thru all of them just search. Let me know if I can be of help!

Good morning Brian. The thing about adwords is that you are largely at the mercy of Google. Now there is a lot more to adwords than anyone can explain in a sentence or two, so to be really blunt about it, this is the fastest way to lose money going. Google makes all the rules, so we have to play by them. It doesn't necessarily mean that you WILL lose money, but if you don't understand exactly how it works, you don't have much chance. I was on another site a month or so back and a gal on there - who was supposedly being given good advice and help - got stung by Google for $700 in 4 hours! It was her first attempt at adwords, and nobody cautioned her first!
So, as long as you understand how it all works, then OK. But still and all, I do believe that most of the experts, and there are lots here, tell you to go for the free stuff first. Article marketing and the like. Probably a good idea to learn as much as possible about Travis' bum marketing. It's all over the site.

Anyways Whats so great about online is that it never sleeps. Even if you have 20 minutes a day its a start. Discipline,perseverence,desire,belief and yourself is what will help you secceed. How bad do you want this to work?

Oh I get it. Thats a good idea for you. You want to use key words to target your age group. Something like Need to make extra money during the 'recession' or "prevent the loss of your job...blahblah" or a good one "supplement your retirement" with online marketing.... key words that your age group uses.....

On the flyers you should have the person go to a website wether it be a squidoo page promoting WA or your personal website.

I like those ones. To me personally when you say things like "we will hold your hand" its a big statement to live up to. Maybe try "community" or "network of fellow online marketers to help you succeed" or something to that effect.

My last name is McGowan, If you are from that area.. you have most likely heard of my brother Jack who is a legend. Anyway, enough about family, I am struggling and I do want to understand all of this. It is just buying and selling but on a whole new level. I would welcome your tutelage. I work an 8hour job, that use to be fun, but now with all the layoffs, we which are still full time are picking up the slack as there is no one being hired to fill the gaps. I have my own business, I make fresh homemade Ravioli, so that my time to do this, is whenever I can fit it in. I hope I did not bite off more than I can chew.

kathleen, I am making up some flyers and cards to get prospects to my WA page. I need to come up with some text that will attract prospects to the site. Something short but to the point. Got any suggestions?

It will be a business card and a flyer with a phrase or question that i could hand out to folks to check out my WA site. Somthing that I could leave behind after a meal at a restaurant, gas, station etc. Since this is the only way i know now how to advertise. example: I want to target people in my age group that are being faced with the same job challenges and cut backs as I am. Hope this helps. Just learned whata link was last month so I don't think there will be any of those.....yet
