so you want to ultimately sell your own products? Well this is a great way to get into that. A niche is like a specific interest within something. Say you love cycling (road bikes), well a niche (specific interest) within that could be how to ride faster, or how to build a lighter bike, or how to exercise to your greatest advantage. So you might find training programs to promote, something like that. Hope your research is going well. I'm trying to learn how to write articles, seems challenging to say the least.
