Impossible?

Last Update: April 08, 2010

What about those people that try so hard to make your life impossible?

Like managers that act like they know everything when they don't, and then when you try to explain what really matters they act like they don't understand.  Then because they’re fully aware that they can't handle the issue (because they have no clue), they prefer to dump it in your lap.  They do this because they know that you are the right person and you will be able to get it done correctly and in time.  However you will never hear a sincere "Thank you".

I just happened to have a situation like that today at work, a very chaotic day, and like you are really sitting down not doing anything…  They decide to come to you with 1 more difficult task, but no, that's not it.  They want it done like yesterday, knowing that it takes time to research a solution.  Then he have the nerve to ask where I stand on the issue a few minutes later.  Hello…. just got the task assigned.

People like that attempt to make every bit of your life impossible as if they believe they own the land, as if they are in total control and of course there is not much I can do but say yes sir, will do.

Lately I have come home late and tired, don't even have the energy to log into WA, but today I realize this is an additional reason why I'm here.  To make me more decisive and strong in regard to taking control of my own life.

I'm not much of a writer, but I'm trying.  I know this is not a simple thing and requires hard work, including lots of reading and writing.  It also requires lots of research; so far I can see it takes time to learn the basics to be able to create a successful path. Days like today, though, make me stronger.  I just ask God, My Lord, please continue to give me the wisdom and strength that I need in way for me to be successful.  Not only at me, but look at all of us in need, allow us to be successful that we not only succeed but that can help others to be successful too.  Freedom!  Free me from the oppressor and from the chains of the corporate world, this being one of my long term goals.

Have to agree cause, I too work at a full time job for Corporate America "Wally World", and know that having to deal with all the managers can get very stressful.

The thing that really upsets me is, the fact that when you have 4 to 5 of them and each one telling you do something different, what do you do? Then to top that off, they have cut back on everyone's hours, from 40 to 33or even less.

On top of that, they want every to have split days off be on call 24/7, no quality time for your family, telling you that your department doesn't have the hours then gives you a choice to work in another one. If you don't...well...you just don't have a job any more.

That and other issues is want has motivated me to sing up with WA and work at building my online business. We just never know how long our jobs will last.

Keep it up "Alaking's", for as our Lord and Savior has told us, "All things works out for the good to those who love Him". Just don't give up, even when you fail, keep on pursuing you goals in life. For sooner or latter, you will become successful.

I have complete respect for the commitment and dedication it takes to work at a job and do this simultaneously. I'm doing a few things at once too but not with a boss and I'm finding it hard. Can just imagine. Well, that's the incentive that propels. Best of best to you.

Man, you are SO right! I too work and I work my tail off. When I get home to my family, I have a couple of choices. I can either sit on my duff and watch TV because I'm pooped. OR I can use that cruddy day as my motivation as to what I am trying to accomplish here at the WA. I'm currently working on replacing my income so I can quit my job and not have to deal with Corporate America anymore. You're on the right track!
