Hello to all at WA,
My background is woodwork. I started off as a carpenter/joiner in London, then moved to New York in 1979. Where I worked in construction for a while before starting my own workshop. I moved back to London in 1990. Much of my work over the years has been at the top end of the market, high class interiors, both domestic and commercial.
I have run both small and large businesses, and realize all too well the benefits of hard work. I work 12-14 hour days on a regular basis, and often work 24 hour shifts to meet deadlines.
I love my work because it is an art. It's good for the mind, body and soul, I guess that's why there are so many enthusiast's beavering away in their home workshops!
As much as I enjoy it though, I am still a slave to what I can produce with my own two hands. Big workshops bring the stress of having to pay large overheads and wages, small workshops bring the stress of trying to keep up with the deadlines.
Being a perfectionist has helped me to build a good client base, that appreciates quality. But it has consumed all my energy and kept me in the same rat-race as every commuter on the train to the city every morning.
My goal now is to to devote a couple of hours each day to IM, to create a new business that will co-exist alongside my existing business. Hopefully I can earn enough not to have to put in so many hours. Who knows, I might even find an opportunity to combine the two!
I don't have the knowledge, but with the help of WA, i'm sure I will get there.

I realize there are many people here who know a lot about websites. So for those professionals please forgive my site, I made it myself. I have never advertised in over 30 years, I didn't even take pictures of my work until a few years ago. All my business has come from word of mouth. I've been dragged into the 21st century!!! Hooray for Technology
I look forward to working with all of you, and thanks to Karl and Carson for an inspiring business model !!!!!
