2012 - Day 004 - Getting More Out of WA!

Last Update: January 04, 2012

Most of us here are trying to work around jobs to work on our Internet marketing training.  I'm not one of those, but that is imminent.  Albeit, I've done some extensive studies on this employment thing.  This study has been going on for almost five years.  I've neglected over the last year and it's time to revive it.

Centering our lives around our jobs cuts into all other aspects of our lives.  This is well-known to people such as those of us who are in a place like this.  We should consider ourselves fortunate.  Most people do not so much as have a clue about the implications of being employed.  Employers have an unfair advantage over the average consumer because they know the true value of time, energy and how to keep employees under submission.  Most people not only think that employment is the acceptable means to earning an income, but that any other way isn't for them and earning money is not supposed to be fun!

Though employment is expedient for many of us, it doesn't have to be for life.  Be it fate or fortune, a few of us have found the wonderful world of entrepreneurship.  It isn't an easy road but a highly rewarding one if we can get our p's and q's straight about it.

I do not purport to know everything about this topic, but I do know certain things.  I've written a book on it,

Beyond Employment:  The Implications of Being Employed and What You Need to Know About Wage Slavery.

This book covers everything employment with a strong emphasis on empowerment and time management. Time management as discussed is not about how efficient you can be at your job (though this certainly helps) but how you use your time outside  your employment.  It leaves no stone unturned.  It is in its rough draft and certainly needs more supportive resources to back it up.  This book is not biased...or at least, not intended to be so.  Employment is not all bad...depending on what side of the fence you are on.  Even being stuck in a job you hate can be rewarding...if you see it as temporary and know where you are going.  The vast majority of the masses do not know these things.

We at WA do!  WA tends to draw this kind of folk in.

I'm going to be putting excerpts from my book here over time.  Hopefully I will be able to stay in this membership to follow this through.  It is my way of helping people here get more out of their memberships.  From the standpoint of employment, this can be done in a number of ways.

I'm not just a teacher here...I'm also a learner.  I need to put into practice what I've written about in that book myself!  That is not a hollow saying!  It's very true that I could highly benefit from the very things I've written myself!

The main objective here is helping folks utilize the three greatest tools of empowerment...personal time, energy and  education.  By-products would include market research and the book's improvement.  It will also help me get my mind off the kind of counter-productive things I've been known for.  It's my way of providing value for this Membership for those who follow along.

The posts about this topic will be relatively short and concise.  The book is quite long and will appear here as excerpts or summaries.   I'm hoping to create some tutorials as we go with this.

I left employment -- wage slavery -- behind about four years ago for good when I built up y residual income enough to replace my active (part-time) income. Since then I've earned more spending less time working. 2011 was an incredible year for me, even better than 2010, for income. Now, 2012 will be a challenge for a number of reasons but I love workign for myself and am looking forward to meeting my income goals. I'll be following along on your WA blog!
I've just never been one to be able to stick to a job that I find unappealing and monotonous. That's just about every job I've had in life...about 40 of them. I have not yet cracked the code for the IM that would work for me, but insofar as things that would help anyone do better with it...including myself, I have done a lot of writing about. Right now, a part-time job would be expedient for me because it's extremely hard to focus on IM when thoughts about what I'm going to do to come up with my monthly obligations are right there. I've gone under about ten times since I've been a member here, having lost my regular day job about two months into my WA membership. Right now, a part time job would sacrifice some of my time, but not be burned out with a full-time job. I've never gotten much beyond doing hard labor-type jobs. Some of the best ones I've worked for was not the work itself...but that I was working around decent people. Far more than not, however, I've been caged up with people who simply have no clue about life outside of mediocrity. I had to spend most of my day today going to junk yards, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Nobody needs (or wants) my help. My landlord does not buy the searching for jobs on the Internet. Good old fashion door-to-door is what he expects from me...and I have to comply because if it comes up I've not the rent, he can't say I've not tried.
