Today's writing is going to be short because I'm amidst some research right now.

As a few of you know, I saw something really horrible yesterday and it has also affected my landlord, who is a kind-hearted person.

Dogs will be dogs and one of the things they have built in is predator aggression.  All dogs have this to some degree or another, some worse some not so bad.

Serious warning should have been taken a few days before this when the grandson's powerful boxer dog broke his chain and got the same cat cornered as she was trying to get in the house but the door was closed.  I pulled the dog's chain with all my might allowing the cat to run under the shed.

We were not so lucky yesterday. 

The cat was outside again and the dog, which was being led to the main house, saw the cat, suddenly broke lose and chased after her.  The cat was trapped and the dog caught her before she could get very far.

The dog is so powerful it took two people to separate them.  On top of this, the other smaller dog latched on the other end of the cat and they were pulling, each trying to get their share of the poor cat which had gone limp from the trauma.  Both my landlord and his son's wife got bitten and scratched by the terrified cat but not from the dogs.

The cat was hospitalized and is home now.  After that horrendous situation, it is a wonder the cat is still alive.  The vet bill was $700.  Shock probably saved the cat's life and the cat sprayed the dogs.  Female cats have an awful smell too!  They found out when the dogs were in their living room.

I was so relieved to see my landlord bring the cat home.  She is sore and growls at the other cats, but is eating and washing herself.

As entrepreneurs and Internet marketers, this is the kind of attribute we should have...if not for the dog's persistence, the ability to stay alive through the wiles of Google, trends, competition, technology, downright hard work, ideas, innovations, tenacity, self-control, empowerment, and the will to live within this industry.

This isn't all.  We must endure the naysaying and sometimes downright ridicule from people around us that don't understand what we do.

I used the analogy of the cat and the dogs because sometimes it gets just that way  (though not so terrifying) when we are trying to learn this art when most people see the Internet as simply a place to play. 

 This is my short message for today.

How many lives do you have left?  All nine...I hope!
