2012 - Day 075 - Sudden End of a Work Day
Without warning, James came back. I was sitting in the easy chair in the garage when he returned. I had work to do, had done it, and then came outside.
I initially had James pick me up some food and drink. He did so with the $5 I had given him.
Albeit, when I had finished the work, I asked for a nice cold drink of "something" implying, "besides water."
The customer felt obliged to bring out "snacks." I ate some from one of the bags. Albeit, this is what I was doing when James returned. He did not have the drywall, as I first noted. James is getting my food, the customer suddenly comes out,
"Hey, I took care of your guy! (there I am just getting out of the seat, looking alert,) I fixed him up with some snacks and some nice cold Ice tea!"
Bless his heart!
James gave me the burgers and fries and went into the house. I ate the fries and one of the burgers. I did not feel comfortable. I kept back one of the drinks and the other burger.
Getting ready to get started, suddenly he said "this is a one-man job"
I rode home. Today's bicycle ride had its own fun-packed adventure...
The drink condensed water from its coldness and wet the McDonalds bag. Around the corner, away from the house, I sensed that something just happened...and verified by the "flop" sound I heard, that I had just lost my burger through a hole in the bag. Sure enough, the burger came tumbling out of its wrapper, all of which fell on the road, and when I realized, I went to turn around, when the drink fell out. Being what it is, the burger and bun will probably sit there and dry out. I don't think they will be consumed by anything else in nature too soon. Though the burger will probably out-exist the wrapper, I picked up the wrapper and my sealed drink.
