Just thought I would let know why you should use alt text and how they should be used nothing fancy.

An alt text tag is so if someone is looking on the internet for a specific image they may come across your site and your image, more visitors.

Now the most improtant part how should you write them up well this is how I have been doiing it and I get a suprising amount of hits on my images not tons but for the work involved very worth your while.

Think of it as having a blind person looking for your image for example if you have an image of a websters dictionary....you might name it dictionary which is fine for the name....the alt text should read more like this....Websters New World Dictionary 2nd Edition....see how that describes your image so the engines can look for this item when others are searching for it...

Can't say I get tons of traffic from this method , but hey it all helps....
