Many of us are getting very nutrition conscious these days. Eat right. Stay healthy. Not only that, but more than ever, we are concerned about preservatives in our food, pesticides in the ground where food is grown. We're opting for the healthiest oils, opting for organically grown foods, avoiding salmon with PCBs , avoiding mercury in the tuna,  on the lookout for genetically modified vegetables, goes on and on. I recently had a blood test to detect heavy metals. Looked at the chart in th

Before coming to WA, I never thought about blogging. Frankly, I never understood why people blog. Used to think, who would be interested in reading the personal experiences and impressions of another person? Why should I bother to do that too? Of course, my blogs, to date, are full of shop talk having to do with home design. I like to read about everything. Some topics take priority over others. Until a short time ago, I was more interested in reading information that was less editorial, with a

SOPA, that is. It's a long bill that requires more than one reading, and I'm not a lawyer. However, I did sit with paper and pen, jotting down notes as I went along. As I understand it, the basic idea is that the U.S. has no jurisdiction over foreign entities, but it does have jurisdiction over business transacted in the U.S. So, by preventing these foreign entities from infringing on American properties, and selling the infringed goods back to us, these foreign entities can be prevented from

Being stuck in rigid, learned (programmed) responses to everyday living, can actually hold us back from the completeness of who we are. Well, who needs that? Just trying to share something of value that can perhaps help your marketing endeavors. It's a book called Words That Sell by Richard Bayan, from Google Books. Chapters and keyword phrases are online, and you can read them here. Hope it inspires you!

Have you ever had a conversation with a stranger, and felt as if you've known this person your entire life? Are there rock stars and actors you feel a closeness to, especially when they are interviewed? Do certain politicians communicate with you better than others? Not just what they stand for, but as personalities? Is there some art you prefer? Do you prefer Claude Monet to Robert Rauschenberg? Why? When you meet a doctor or lawyer for the first time, do you feel a chemistry with certain one

Two ingeniously inventive chefs play with their food and show us new ways of approaching foods that we eat, which can have far reaching applications. So much fun. Take a look! I'm particularly interested because I've just given up sugar. Have your cake and eat it too? Well, maybe.  Flavor transformations from a Chicago restaurant called Moto.
