Getting Started!
Last Update: July 09, 2012
Hello to any and all readers!
My name is Justin and I suppose I will start this by mentioning that I am new to WA and to everything involving running an internet business. I have an idea for a website that I have wanted to create for a while now but have never committed myself to doing it. I also want to make money from home and be my own boss. I searched the internet high and low looking for different ways to make money on the internet, like so many others, but seemed to come across scam after scam (I do my research so I have yet to fall for an internet scam). Ended up finding a legitimate way to earn quick money with Amazon's Mechanical Turk but that turned out to be a bit of a bust in my opinion when I was only making pennies per hour. I knew it was time to get serious. I want to create this website but have no knowledge. I know that with the knowledge, my work ethic and passion will lead me to running a successful site, but wasting my time on meaningless tasks, was, well... meaningless.
Then I stumbled upon ivetriedthat.com. Steve, the site owner, really seemed to know what he was talking about but I was still apprehensive, after hearing so many horror stories how couldn't I be. After reading many of his articles and signing up to receive some helpful emails from him, the trust began to build and ended up leading me here. Of course I still have some slight apprehensions but as I move forward in this program they are quickly starting to dissipate. I feel like I really have a chance here to finally gain the knowledge I need, get a site up and running, monetize it, and continue to learn along the way... very exciting stuff!!!
I am currently on day 1 of the 10 day free trial period and so far have been reading all morning and trying to throw myself into the mix a little bit. I look forward to meeting a lot of the people on this site that I know I can learn so much from and hopefully, in the spirit of WA I can start to give back at some point. I have little doubt that I will be signing up for the premium membership soon enough. For now though I will be starting the First 10 training program offered by WA! Wish me luck.
P.S. I don't have a blog and this is the first blog post I have every written. I am sure this will all be changing and I realize this post doesn't have a ton to offer, aside from putting my foot in the door. Regardless, any and all feedback is appreciated!

Welcome! I'm a newbie too - finished my 10 day trial and just signed up for a full membership. So far it's been awesome and I've learned a lot. I'm thinking I can turn this into a full time thing and never work for anyone else again - if I can do it, you can do it! Best of luck with your endeavors :)

Cheers Justin! Glad to have you here mate. You're definitely in the right place now. Best advice: ask questions, use chat, and stick with it. It's a process, but one that's well worth it.
