I spent a lot of time looking for WP Themes, found a few I liked, but usually found that the admin area was very difficult to deal with, and sometimes I had no flexibility at all and couldn't put in ads. My favorite theme...a complete waste for the admin area. I finally got fed up and broke down and paid for a theme, but I got one that I was fully able to customize to my liking, and it doesn't require you to know any coding either (I don't). It's a sort of a "fill in the blanks" type of admin area.

You can have 1, 2, or 3 columns, you can even use the theme to set up a full website with a static home page and a blogging page and extra pages as needed...and I can add link areas at the top and/or bottom of the blog page.

Yeah, there's a learning curve, but it wasn't hard at all. Another advantage is they offer an affiliate program too. The owner also offers support with a fully functional forum or by email and has answered my questions very quickly. I love it and am glad I paid for it.
