New to IM (and WA) though I've been fascinated by the concept for years, especially with info-products. I've got 30 years experience as a published freelance writer, roughly 10 as an editor (mostly newspapers) and another 10 running a small public relations/marketing company. I love words so Article Writing is a natural. During my heyday, I was putting out 15 stories a week. Doesn't sound like much with today's online 250 word articles, but these were a minimum of 750 and many were over 1500 words. As a freelancer I had to come up with the ideas, pitch it, research it, do the interviews and then deliver it.
On a personal note, after raising my daughter alone and being a divorced woman for 28 years, I moved to Oregon and met a lovely man. We were married last summer and I've never been happier. We like reading, making things (quilts, pine needle baskets, drums, fabric art, magickal tools and anything else that catches our fancy), camping, walking around the many lakes in our area, and cooking together. We are this close (holds forefinger and thumb one quarter inch apart) to putting out a newspaper linked to a hyperlocal news-site for our area.
We closed our bookstore/cafe last year after pouring an enormous amount of money and work into it. My honey had to get a j.o.b. Our goal is to be successful enough with IM that he can quit his j.o.b. by his birthday (August 6). That gives me four months and two days. Deadlines - ya gotta love them.
I've already read Michael's One Month to Riches, and I have PotPieGirl's One Week Marketing. All I need to do is apply the seat of the pants to the seat of the chair and stay focused. I'm excited to be here though it was a bit of a stretch financially. I've already learned enough to make it worthwhile. And as you can probably tell from my name ---I love learning. = )

Hi Nikao, Love the picture of you lounging in the beautiful weather. I lived for 13 years in Hawaii and I loved it. Now I'm rusting in the rain of beautiful Oregon. Good luck and welcome to WA. - mavericklearner

Hi Nikao,
Great tutorial. I passed you some gold for that. Nice commentary on finding affiliate links that match with one's principles. Haven't seen that discussed anywhere else on the board, but it comes up for me often. Nice to know I'm not the only one who thinks about that.- mavericklearner
