Feedback appreciated on first landing page

Last Update: May 03, 2010

Just launched my first landing page.  Pretty excited about it.  Have articles linking to it.  Now I shall wait and see what happens and tweak as I go along.

Appreciate the help I have been receiving from WA members, this really is a great community.

Ebook Reader Review

Not that I know much about Ebook Readers, finding a good writer is definitely the way to go.  I enjoyed all the other aspects and find I can do them, outsource what you can't do, I think is the key!

I like it. I think you'd benefit by giving away something in exhange for their email addresses. Probably put that on the right side, top. I like that you have the photos of the things.
I'd change the order of feature then benefit to benefit then feature. I mean:
Instead of this: Text2Speech technology is built into the reader, so you can listen to your ebooks while you are in a place that won't let you read the traditional way. A 3.5mm headset jack keeps the spoken word to yourself so you don't disturb anyone else around you.
I'd have this:
You can listen to your ebooks while you are in a place that won't let you read the traditional way as it has Text2Speech technology is built into the reader. And you can use it in coffee shops and other crowded places as it comes with a 3.5mm headset jack that keeps the spoken word to yourself.

I would beautify the page. Underline or use bold here and there. Use indents or bullets.

I would also compare the 3. I'd say, *this one is better for ebooks that have lots of graphics because it has the most...

this one is the best for people with poorer eyesite as it has uses bigger font...

Mind you, I never seen one in real life, so my example's possibly do not apply but you get the idea, I hope.

At the top, the first paragraphs, it's your opinion, that's why it's a review. However, you're the expert (you're way ahead of me and tons of others as you've already looked into them), so skip the humble part, no "in my opinion" kind of attitude.
You looked at their features, you compared them, you are the Goddess of e-book readers. Accept it, for crying out loud!

Hello,

I think that your first landing page is absolutely great. You did a really good job. The only thing I would add is a contact form to collect email addresses. This is very important in affiliate marketing. Several studies have been conducted on successful affiliate marketers and every conclusion in the study has been that an email list greatly contributes to their success.

I would add the contact form at the very top above the fold (this means above the bottom of your browser window). I personally would use the area in the top right where those pictures are...take them out. Offer them something to entice them to sign up. I found the (http://www.gutenberg.org/wiki/Main_Page) Gutenburg project for you. They offer free ebook downloads for ebook readers. So you could offer free ebooks if they sign up on your mailing list. In your email with the file include links to other affiliate ebooks that you can make money on. You could say something like get one free ebook a month for signing up on the mailing list. You now have a captive audience for your affiliate mailings.

Looks great,

Paul

OneProsperity: I like the idea of having an ebook reader review site! Some ideas... I think it looks good, but would like to see some more organization at the top... Maybe have some tabs that say Home, About, My Top Products, etc... And then also something about yourself & why you are an e-book reader expert :) Also, how are you cloaking your affiliate links?

Nice work! Change your home page title to: "ebook reader review" and you should be well on your way!

RE: "Now I shall wait and see what happens" - Make that "I will continue to write article that will point to my landing page"
