Dave I have been seriously involved in IM six months, WA is a great place to be. Like Kyle and Carson say we won't get rich overnite, but there is a lot of opportunity..read and reread beating adwords and if you are going to advertise WA make sure your budget won't hurt you as there is a learning curve. As far as this/your business is concerned you really need to find three people (yes only three) that share your passion and niche market desires..and the process of duplication begins...choose wisely who you invest your time in and it will grow exponentially...
