Is there a way to create articles off line and past them into blog.
Last Update: June 17, 2012
Thanks for all the great comments on my previous posts! I appreciate it and find the great sense of community to be well worth the price I am paying to be a member here!!
My question stems from some issues I have had in the past with posting on blogs. I have typed entire posts in Microsoft Word to find out I can't cut or copy and a paste them into the blog post I was creating I learned my lesson very quickly and now I type right into the post page on whatever platform I am using. I would like to do some of my longer more research oriented posts offline. I have serious focus issues and I have a rather crazy way of creating posts. That involves copy and pasting valid info from my research and then deciding how to organize it and put it in my own words.
I don't care how the research info looks because I am not going to use any of it word for word it is just a guide. In my experience my finished article usually won't show up at all or it shows up with the paragraphs all mixed up once I post it in the blog post area.
Is there program that doesn't have the formatting issues?
I have also been wondering if there is a place to store my articles in case something happens to my computer or my Wordpress or blogger accounts. My scattered brain is really thinking it would be nice if I could find a way to type and organize and back up all of my articles. This way I could submit them to more than one place and I could easily spin them into a similar article for submission. I just don't want to have to find a way to reformat them all the time or worse yet have to retype the entire article. If doing the writing off line is not possible is there a place where I can keep all of my info online and backed up I could do this if I set a new set of rules for myself.
Sorry for all of my constant newbie questions and again thanks for all the support!

I'm quite a fan of writing my articles in full-screen writing apps. I use a Mac equivalent, but this is an application called 'Dark Room' which is plain text and should work for you: http://they.misled.us/dark-room. As for keeping backups and accessing your articles on other computers, try 'Dropbox' (http://dropbox.com). Basically everything that you save into a particular folder (like your articles etc) will be backed up automatically - it's a great service, and it's free! Mark.
