Nature Dropped by for Halloween

Last Update: October 31, 2010

How's it going WA? Happy Halloween.

Down here in the Caribbean, not so happy for a lot of folks. I spent 36 hours without power but tonight there's still a lot of people still without.

Hurricane Tomas, you might have heard about him, passed through the island last night causing a lot of damage. Downed power lines, uprooted trees and houses that lost their roofs plus in the aftermath households that still don't have electricity or running water.

My family is ok and thankfully on my island no one lost their lives.

I think St. Lucia got hit worse than we did though.

I put up some pics below.

This is the usually calm capital, Kingstown. Beautiful, aint it?

This is Kingstown taking a beating.

Power lines came down short distance from my home.

This house lost its entire roof.

In the ghetto. No one got physically hurt.

Roads blocked.

Saw some pics of St. Lucia. These ones are nothing compared to what they went through.

Praying for Haiti because they are less prepared to handle the even more powerful hurricane Tomas headed their way.

@Sophia Yes prayer is definitely needed.
@Tornados in CT? That's kinda strange but I'm not surprised with the way nature has been acting up lately.

That looks horrible. Glad you and your family are OK. Caribbean gets the brunt of these storms. We're starting to get tornadoes in Connecticut. It's scary and strange. Ancient trees have been uprooted. I'll pray for Haiti.
