First Days on WA: Stuck in Stasis..for now
Last Update: July 30, 2012
Hi Everyone,
I just joined WA and I am trying to get a grip on setting up websites (never done this before).
I want to activate my unused sites with just a few relevant links while we work through them.
Right now they are just ad-spam for go-daddy which isn't doing me any good heh.
I naively expected this part to go the fastest!
Silly me
The Wordpress templates provided with my WA Membership are not what I expected ...
I thought there would be a shopping cart or catalogue themes but I don't see any. I see portfolio styles galore but not quite what we need.
The themes provided don't absolutely blow my mind but that's ok, there are free options online so I can still find what I need
From my limited understanding I have to use Wordpress plug-ins to make a cart , catalogue or product/price listing??.....I think
I am used to being on the customer end of things or 'real life' marketing so it is quite the mind-trip to figure out how to use on-line tools. I swear websites can be easier than this and all these templates.
....I need to make an on-line store, if I can get something like that, I would be set (for now!)

MissTech, I don't have any sage advice for you but I would like to encourage you to hang in there. I hope you can get the plug-ins working properly so you can get your sites up and running like you want, and I wish you the best. Keep us posted on how things are going :-)

Hey, tried to reach my brother as he has a zen cart site but to no avail. Here are two videos that will do what you are looking for installation wise.

Hope you get it going! So really you really can use either zen cart or Wordpress with shopping cart plugins but I think Zen looks better with an online store especially if you have 1000's of parts.
