Never underestimate being "ticked off" as a great motivational tool!
Hey, don't look at the title and absorb it just as it is written. The common misconception is that irritation points to a negative vibe.. one that can only make a tough situation worse! I beg to differ. In my case, I look at it as a way to marshall my mental faculties and life aspirations like a laser beam of ACTION... a desire to not be satisfied with nor tolerating the status quo of my life. I have been blessed in my life with my share of successes, a number of disappointments, and with family and friends that I trust and love without equivocation yet still excited by the promise of what lies ahead. I have been involved with the growth of the IT field from when DOS was the greatest thing since sliced bread, to where entire infrastructures are now virtualized to the point that people are being very much marginalized. It has afforded me a good way to make a living, and keep up with the latest technologies. But after twenty-seven years, i can now honestly say without hesitation...I.AM..BORED! And THAT ticks me off, because there are only so many ways to perfect screwing in a light bulb (you know the joke about engineers, sheesh!). At fifty (yes, newly minted), I REFUSE to be BORED..hence, a new challenge awaits me as I chart the next fifty years of my life, and I am using my desire to be the best IM I will become for my family, my friends....for me. I look forward to new learning, the challenge of not being an "expert' in something, gaining new proficiencies, and being compensated adequately for that knowledge because of MY best efforts. looking forward to the future..damn it's bright!! :">).
