Today we are going to keep things relatively stress free today, but it is going to be a very productive day. We are going to be setting up the core of our website, which includes the selection of our domain.

I am also going to be using a domain that I own and plan to profit from in this exercise. I will be using as an REAL example of how you can create an authority site in this niche and that I will be using throughout the Affiliate Bootcamp and that I will be turning from NOTHING into a full time business online.

Here is the domain that I am using.

This is going to be my site and my approach to this. Yours can definitely be different in terms of how you approach this niche, but by seeing what I do first hand and being able to look directly over my shoulder, I think you are going to be get a lot of good ideas!

Before we get into websites, I want to open your eyes to whom the target audiences are for Wealthy Affiliate. This will give you a better idea as the vastness of this niche as most people just assume that "make money" is the niche...not quite!

Who is the WA audience? Well, pretty much everyone that wants to make more money and do something they are passionate about....and honestly, who doesn't want to do either of these.

Everywhere you look someone could benefit from Wealthy Affiliate. Whether you are standing in line at a grocery story or chatting with a friend on Facebook. Wealthy Affiliate can benefit them and their lives in one way or another.

Whether they are retired, whether they are in college, employed or unemployed, business owners or looking to start a business, when you are promoting WA you are promoting to the biggest audience in the world...

Task 2: Choose a domain (free or paid)

The next step is going to be choosing a domain.

Your next step is going to be to build your website. You will be doing this within the state of the art website platform here at Wealthy Affiliate, called SiteRubix.

I always recommend choosing a simple theme, one that does not require too much work and definitely is clean of too many bells and whistles. The first focus is your content, secondary is the aesthetics of your site theme. Look at how simple the theme is that I chose!

Lots of white space, very simple in nature and puts the emphasis on the actual content.

There is a reason why sites like Craigslist.com and Reddit.com are so popular...their content. It has nothing to do with their ugly look!
