I now have 13 sites of which eight were built to make money (the others are test beds). Of those 13, seven rank on page 1. Now don't get to excited, a handful of those rank at the very bottom and don't get much traffic yet. I've got my process down to rank on page one, but still working the kinks out to rank top five and I'm getting closer each day. So far this month (six days) I've got more traffic coming in than I normally get in two or three weeks, so things are looking up!

Things I've learned:
**Disclaimer: These are things I've learned and the way I do things. Everyone does things differently =).

1. Quickly built smaller sites are great testing beds for learning. I really feel that building a few small sites in the beginning has really helped me learn as a whole.

2. Focusing on one site and expanding it's content is a sure fire way to rank for KW's that you never expected. This is where larger more content filled sites really pay off in the long run vs smaller sites. Smaller sites are dependent on a higher ranking, where larger sites filled with content can receive traffic from all different types of rankings and those really start to add up.

3. Links are a necessary evil. You don't need a lot, but you really do need them. I aim for about 15 links per site when I launch and leave it at that until I'm out of the sandbox (if I get put there). Again this is the way I do it.. =)

I'm now at a point where I am going to take what I've learned and start applying it heavily, expanding content on my money maker site while also creating a new content rich site. I'm also working on a side project that will end up being a phone app, but that's probably a year out as the developers that are helping me are doing it on their free time.
