Connecting Critical Campaign Dots, 17 Common Q's

Last Update: August 07, 2010

Welcome Fellow WA Buddies!

This post is dedicated to Maghdalena. Hopefully she's okay with some of the basic Q's I'll share here. Now -- this is a long post.  Please set aside 15 minutes to scan content because I assure you that there are golden nuggets tucked into this post.  I talk about integrating a successful IM campaign online.  How you do it as well as how you research it makes all the difference to you as a golden marketer.

The goal in this post is to show you:

1)  How to reduce IM headaches spent searching for a smaller niche without spending 5 years to do it.

2) Share what I've learned to spare you "lost time".

RESEARCH

This can be a time-consuming process so please consider using all WA resources at your disposal.  By tapping into Kyle and Carson's content, you can spare yourself lost time.  Use their keyword lists and campaign ideas to find an underserved market.  I've talked about this before in prior posts.  Even if you're not sure how to use many of the WA tools yet, just keep working. Things will begin to gel with daily effort.

Moving Forward ..

Maghdalena asks very good questions so I'll share them with you.

Q1) She wanted to know about why we don't use Word Documents to write content?

Notepad will work well for you. What you want to do is first prepare a full article in notepad by including your signature box.  If you use Word Doc, you'll spend a ton of time writing the article.  When you cut/paste it into the word editor at ezines...or even at WA, you'll get funny symbols.  Then you'll have to rewrite your article all over again!

Q2)  How do I write an article at Ezines so that it's accepted?

Here's one approach I've used.   I am sending you my ezine articles link talking to the network marketing niche in ways so that they'll consider IM.  You won't see transition ideas listed in this article, BUT you will see how an article and it's basic format + a signature box works.  It's located at the end of any article.  See if you can spot the signature box..."For more information, contact"...

<!-- m -->http://ezinearticles.com/?Why-Hiring-a- ... id=2904883<!-- m -->

Q3)  I'm not sure I'm taking the right direction.   Do I continue?

If you consider setting up a blogger blog in addition to your WA blog, it gives you additional freedom to publish ...say...weight loss content and musical instruments on separate blogs.  I'm making these 2 categories general in nature to protect Magdhalena's work.

For now, just focus on writing blog posts in 1 niche first.   Choose the one that yields a TON of content.  That way, you can

*  put the blogger.com blog link into your signature line at the end of your ezine articles.

This may seem like a "chicken or egg thing", but the idea here is to --

* have a few blogs you can play with to get your feet wet

If you feel like you're talking to no one out there, this is common.  Keep going even if it takes you 4 - 6 months of weekly work.  It is well worth the effort because you are implementing instead of losing yourself in IM study.

* Any implementation is far more superior than nothing done at all.  My first campaigns were train wrecks years ago..., but the big thing is to keep working.  In time, your brain will connect the critical dots.

Keep publishing content under your name.

Over time, website owners who don't want to write their own content will pick up your articles.

* They do this AS LONG AS they cut/paste your signature box in the article, putting that article on their website...

* This creates an exponential effect (called viral marketing) for you...

* More see your articles and some will watch your blog(s) for a while.

Q4)  Am I doing too much research?

No.. , NOT as long as you're implementing.

Yes..., when you're not moving forward at all.  Pick a direction and go..., but know that YOU ARE CAPABLE OF CREATING YOUR REALITY FOR THE BETTER.

SEE WA ARTICLE MARKETING TO GET THE BEST DIRECTORY SITES.

Research can be time consuming,  but I'll tell you what I did.

I spent 1.5 years studying my markets (network marketers who want to transition online and affiliate marketers to see what they were learning and buying).  You may not have to spend that kind of time.

Some move fast.  Many take research at their own speed.  The more you do it, the better you become.

Knowing precisely how your smaller markets think..., and knowing what they precisely buy tells you everything about your pending success.

* PIck the right market and you can tell the PayPal team, "Please note for security purposes that future incoming revenue is expected to exceed prior 2009 results"!  More along that topic line soon.

So remember...again...solid market research  puts you way ahead of the curve because you will be able to generate MAJOR content under your name. YOU SHOULD FEEL VERY GOOD ABOUT THE WORK YOU'RE DOING. YOU'RE ON A POWERFUL PATH.

IF YOU GET STUCK ON WEIGHT LOSS CONTENT, WA gives you everything and more.  You can research online by checking out vast websites.  Pick the very best ones.  Reword and cite to avoid future legal disputes (or lawsuits).

I'm not an expert in musical instruments online so you want to find other websites to see who's writing about that content at different musical instrument levels.  That way, you can find VAST information out there.

If not, pick up publications, head to online directories (if they exist).  Check out magazines at your local library.

If you can't find much on affiliate content, still research Clickbank (digital guitar e-books and other helpful downloads) and go to CommissionJunction (for tangible things related to guitar needs).

Q5)  You mentioned, "My back up niche is in a specific type of instruction and practice related-issues because there are more products out there than the musician's health".

Attach your notepad article and have a WA buddy review that content before you submit to ezines.

Q6) You mentioned, "It seems so slow though, sometimes"...and it is.

Just keep going.  The more you do this, the faster your content will roll from your fingertips.

THEN...HERE'S THE NEAT PART. ONCE YOU HAVE A BLOGGER BLOG FORMED...AND YOU HAVE AN EZINE ARTICLE OR 2 BLOGS PUBLISHED IN YOUR NICHE OF CHOICE, PLACE LINKS LEADING TO THOSE SITES IN YOUR PROFILE AT WA!!

WE START TAPPING INTO TRAFFIC TO ATTRACT PEOPLE TO YOU.  FOLLOW ALL WA RULES.  GETTING TRAFFIC ISN'T THE TOUGH PART.

ITHE TRICK IS TO JUST KEEP PLUGGING AWAY AT WRITING.

IF YOU GET STUCK, HEAD TO THE FORUM.  Reach out for help.  It's there.  Contact me...bkb2012 and I'll get you what you need.

TELL ME.."I'M STUCK FOR CONTENT IDEAS"...AND I'LL HAMMER OUT SOME IDEAS.

YOU CAN OFFER PRODUCT REVIEWS..., include specific comparisons for 2 types of similar instruments..., talk about BEST OVERALL pianos (for example) BASED ON PRICE AND PERFORMANCE...,

YOU CAN WRITE ARTICLES ABOUT WHICH STRINGS on the piano ARE BEST, noting online suppliers.

FIND ALL OF THE RELATED ITEMS INVOLVING TAKING GOOD CARE OF YOUR PIANO, 5 SIMPLE TIPS" (ANOTHER ARTICLE IDEA).

SEE IF YOU CAN WRITE AN ARTICLE ON "POLISHING YOUR PIANO SAFELY WITHOUT DESTROYING THE FINISH" and brainstorm ANYTHING YOUR MIND CAN CONJUR RELATED TO pianos...

Write about how lessons should work when you pick the right eacher.

List BEST TEACHERS ONLINE OR OFFLINE...

RUN A SEARCH TO SEE IF YOU CAN FIND THEM.

EVEN IF THEY DON'T EXIST -- YOU COULD BE THE 1ST MAJOR IM'ER PROMOTING A PIANO STORE ONLINE.

Q7)  I'm not finding a lot of blogs.

You don't have the software needed to locate these blogs just yet. But ...start with the ideas I've given you, and more will come in due time.

Look for others who have written product reviews..., read instrument comparisons, look for websites..., go to different article directories (go articles..., searchwarp..., etc....see WA tutorial again listing the premier article directories found in the WA ARTICLE marketing).

Many music teachers are fighting the Internet transition because they're not sure who to ask or know what to do.  I test people in my local areas all the time to see if they know what IM is.  They don't.

Internet marketing is a real legitimate profession.

WHAT YOU MAY BE ABLE TO DO IN DUE TIME IS --

LOOK UP LOCAL LISTINGS FOR PIANO TEACHERS. CHANCES ARE THAT MOST ARE OFFLINE. IT WILL TAKE TIME TO BUILD YOUR SKILLS AND TO IDENTIFY WHAT YOU LIKE TO DO, BUT EVENTUALLY YOU CAN MOVE YOU IN LOCAL AREAS TO OFFER REAL SERVICES TO THESE FOLKS.

Q8)  What about working on my back-up niche?

It's a good idea to have 2 marketing campaigns that you're working on.

*  It will keep you very busy

*  If not, pick a direction and work a first niche..finding that smaller niche

(NOTE:  You can handle 2 campaigns, but trying to manage 3 is unproductive.  If you are really new to Internet Marketing, it's best to focus on 1 campaign.)

There is a ton of content in the weight loss arena...starting here at WA.

If you head to the Strip That Fatcampaign.  It's a turnkey system.

Run search at WA to locate that content.

You can use their keyword ideas...and more to look into smaller, underserved niches.

Q9)  Do you think I'm doing the right thing here?

In order to find a market that is underserved, you will eventually have to think outside of the marketing box. That comes with time and work.

As you apply yourself daily, you will get there.

There's heavy, heavy competition in "stay-at-home moms in or around menopause"..., but if you think along the lines of various medical conditions that contribute to weight gain and "a persistent belly for women", there are smaller niches out there still.

Q10)  It seems there ought to be products with a market, but alas!

In weight loss -- yes.

In piano -- perhaps you're meant to pave the way !

You're still a bit early in the research process.  Again -- don't give up. Many are here to help others get what they need..., and so are Kyle, Carson, and Marcus.

Q11)  I'm finding solutions for basic problems such as finger exercise boards (at XYZ's site) and wrist wraps at abc.com, but nothing in relation to playing piano.

Wrist wraps are a start in a very solid direction.  Keep looking for sites.  They will come in time.

What you want to do is see if you can find 5 - 15 ways to spin content for joint troubles related to piano playing.

See if you can list 10 - 15 major problems this group faces.

Then, see how they would look for solutions in relation to the items you've found.  If so, you've most likely spotted a smaller market already ! That's excellent work !

Q12) One e-book I bought talks about "Reversing a Specific Joint Problem".

Again..., make a list of 10 - 15 problems people feel with this problem. ...., "shooting pains..., tired hands/wrists..., difficulty playing piano because of tissue inflammation..., difficulty playing piano because of tired wrists..., write as many combinations on these keywords as you can.  This will help you write articles...again for testing.

The major reason why we write articles is to: 1) use marketing in an exponential way (to get the word out there through other website owners)...and 2) to obtain quality backlinks eventually leading to what will be your website.

In the meantime, use your blogs and turnkey systems to write your "website content way ahead of time"...before you figure out how you want your website to look and work.

The other advantage to setting up ...say 2 blogs... is that you're testing traffic to these sites so that when your website is ready for construction, you know better what kind of content and things people want... BEFORE you publish your website.

If you're hugely passionate about the older instrument playing crowds, just test content by using the social networks to drive traffic. You can tap into Twitter, FB, the article directories, Link-In, Plaxo, ...there are endless sites out there.

Q13)  I have a lot more aches and pains than I used to.

Here's where you may be able to help yourself and others.

As a martial arts instructor for 23 years, at age 49...I have few aches.   I run, bicycle, lift weights, clean my house like mad, etc.

You can pull in "glucosamine/chondroitin" supplements into this market. You would have to write compelling headlines such as, "Why Doctors Don't Tell You That Your Body Can Heal Itself"..., 3 Tell-All Secrets"..., Free Report.

The free report would carry your name.

Then you can --

* pull in supplements you find online to help restore joint function: the supplement I mentioned for partial commissions,

* VITAMIN D & CA ++ (many are deficient in these areas so they have joint stiffness)...so see if you can find a supplement like this for partial commissions..,

* pull in the wrist wraps....

* see if you can find an anti-inflammatory for partial commissions to help.

Then write content on "5 Little Known Secrets Suspending Piano's Joint Pain (by specific medical condition)".

Write your free report on this and include the supplements for suggestions.

You can embed affiliate links into your content so they're interactive.

IM done well is subtle when it's done right.

Q14) I have found a product called  X, Y, Z Healthy Institute that has products for a specific kind of back pain --

See what you can find on that topic.   It's another big one.

* Write down 10 - 15 major sources for back pain problems:

* cyclist-related injuries (because of car accidents)...,

* the poor posture..,

* inadequate stretching and workouts in the back area (sedentary lifestyle)...,

* piano's back posture...,

* computer folks who don't sit up straight while working ...,

* brainstorm any and all ideas.

Don't negate anything your mind first conjurs because this is how you zero in on an underserved market.

You can list--

* diseases...like multiple sclerosis (they have a sagging mid-section...poor back posture..and weak abdominals)...,

* weak abdominals leading to persistent back pain...,

* scoliosis...think medical conditions but stay away from cancer.

Q15)  I am finding products for some health issues.

There are many ways to pull these health issues into a starting campaign that can grow over time.

Q16) Can I discuss things like diet and exercise as it relates to piano players?
If there's one thing a lot of guitarists, especially older ones don't do, is eat well and get plenty of exercise. and as far as rock and roll musician's drug problems, well, there's a big one right there. A lot of poor habits.

Absolutely.

* You could pull in smoking cessation..., "sedentary lifestyle.., "etc...much of what I mentioned above.   I am showing you how things related to one another.

Q17)  That's kind of why I asked if I found a good niche.

Early research rules out "big competitors" VS. underserved markets.

You can do it.    Hang in there.

You're in the arduous phases of first campaign development that pay off if you know precisely how people think, know what they feel by specific conditions, and know what they're trying to solve.  That's when you'll do well.
