Greetings !

I have at long last come round to updating my profile.

The one with the beard is me, Gordon, reluctantly being kissed by my shadow, Emm, at an outdoor lunch with our family on 22 November 2009 last when we celebrated the day I became the longest living male member for the last 250 years on the paternal side of my family! No small feat, considering I should have died some twenty years ago...

Emm and I have sailed through life -and a large part of the world- hand in hand for the last 30 years now, and we are fortunate to have arrived at that stage in life which is called “retirement” together -and more or less in one piece! However, retiring is really the last thing on our minds. As the Greek philosopher & author Plato said: “Necessity is the mother of all inventions”, the quirks of life dictated that we re-invent ourselves to ensure a more financially secure future for ourselves and our offspring, and so we joined the ranks of those who seek an answer in Internet Marketing.

From what we have seen so far, the Wealthy Affiliate clan appears to be a very welcoming and caring environment with people eager to help each other in this new world. For both of us it is a very new world indeed, as neither of us really had any previous experience in IM, or in my particular case, with either computer or internet technology specifically. In the true sense of the word: I’m a newbie! But every day I’m learning something new and so far I have come a long way. It is not an easy process, but deep down I know that with the will to succeed, continuous perseverance and the assistance of WA clan-members when I’m hopelessly stuck, Emm and I will turn our WA journey into a successful and memorable experience.
