Being an Expert Writer Vs. Publishing Rewritten Articles.
Ok. This isn't a fact. It's a thought.
I'm writing on Ezine article and am building my credibility and expertise in my niche thanks to Ezinewriter (a member we probably all know). Some readers even contact me directly for advices now, which is great.
When I talk about rewritten articles in the title of this post, I don't mean on different directories. I myself publish duplicates under the same pen name on many directories which doesn't harm my credibility. But I was just thinking recently about an advice I heard many times like in ccmusicman's resource to write 90 articles in 3 days which is to post rewritten articles to the same directory which immediately multiplies the number of articles (and backlinks) per 3.
But, my point is this : if I'm a reader, I stumble upon a great article with really good content, the writer seems an expert, his bio proves it, I want to know more about his other articles, I click on his name, see the number of articles published by him, impressive, then I check the titles to see if something else interests me and I see many articles that have 3 pretty similar titles and a content that talks about the same thing and I say to myself, is that guy just a salesman ?...
I know I know, you're telling me "yeah sure but anyway, apart from ezine articles, all my other articles are for backlinks only!". Sure. But if someone type your pen name on google, he'll find those directories where you have 3 articles that are pretty similar and, if you've built a "reputation" as an expert on a field, I think, I guess, I'm thinking it can harm your credibility and the credibility of your website.
I don't know. It's really just a thought. I mean right now I make a list of many good keywords and I keep writing articles targeting each keyword and publishing duplicates on different directories under the same pen name of course.
What is your opinion on that ? I'd love to hear about it !

I don't think it matters too much though. The critical types who would think less of you are probably also the types of people who wouldn't convert well anyway. You may lose some credit with an extremely dry micro market, but for the trade off of getting traffic from the lucrative markets.
In short, I would say follow ccmusicman's advice.
