Recovering

Last Update: March 14, 2010

What a weekend. While in the middle or work and teaching a class, I felt a tingling sensation in my throat. My first thought was, "Uh oh... am I going to be sick?" Sure enough as I was going home, it got worse. Soon my throat was really sore and my nose was like a faucet. Other than going to church, I was lying down to get some rest. But there were a few things that came to my mind and it had nothing to do with me being sick.

When I was conscious and relatively attentive, I took the time to read. I also can remember the pastor's sermon that day on Sunday. They all had to do with mindset.

I'm sure a lot of people have heard this before about visualizing and writing your goals. You need to keep your eye on the prize and constantly move forward whether it's just one step or several meters. Staying still is the biggest mistake you can make if you know where you need to go. You also need a mentor to guide you through the areas where things aren't working out.

I remember why I decided to join WA. I've heard about the tools and the tutorials which are very good, but the biggest thing here is the community. I need to ask questions to the people that got their prize and how they did it. I really must read the forum on a regular basis for inspiration and ideas. And when I do know what I have to do, I need to take action each day.

I'm quite grateful for the lessons I've learned while I was sick. When I actually slowed down, I had a chance to reflect on what happened this past week and where I need to go to become successful in time. Now I need to continue on the action plan and work with enthusiasm.

Protect your mind and stay positive. Be grateful with what you have. Write your goals down as if it is already completely done and set an actual completion date to it. Ask for help. Move forward. Have the belief that you will succeed.

I hope that everyone here is successful. All the best!
