As you probably know, Squidoo is very interested in non-profits.  In fact, when you make lenses you have the opportunity to give 1% to 100% of your profits to your favorite Squidoo approved charity.  My favorite charity at Squidoo is Friends of the Park.  That one is based in my little hometown.  I have not lived there in many years, but I do know those volunteers and they are working hard to build new ballfields at their park.  and every penny counts. 

Last week Friends of the Park won the contest one day - and they received $99.  My sister, Nancy aka Ohme at Squidoo said, "Do you know how many slices of watermelon we would have to sell to make $99?"   She was thrilled!  and they could win again and again before this contest is over!

Right now there is a big contest going on for the Squidoo charities and you can participate.  This is not a way for you to make $$ on Squidoo, but it is a way for you to make a difference this summer.  and you could win $99 for yourself and for a charity.  Squidoo is giving away $99 a day to charity and $99 a day in cash. 

All you do is make a really super lens, set it to 100% charity and nominate it for the contest, and have your friends nominate it too.  Do let me know if you make a lens for the contest.  I do nominate all the great ones myself! -- and you can too!!  There is no limit to the number of participating lenses you can nominate!  A nomination is like a vote!   This is the best non-profit campaign contest I have ever seen from Squidoo.   And please consider Friends of the Park!
