Quick Question!

Last Update: May 08, 2011

 Hey,

I have a quick question, lets hope for a quick answer!

How do I get my domain name to go after my meta tag when listed on google?

So, instead of this:     webs.com/please_help ;

It will look like this:    please_help.webs.com

Thanks for the help!

Well, I have started seeing these pop up all over in a few of the niches that I am in, I was never interested in pushing separate sub domains up under keywords, I have just been pushing up wordpress posts, and that has been going just fine, so when I saw this I got really interested, and decided it might be a good idea to give it a try! Any idea if these sub domains are good for building page rank? I mean are they better or worse then just pushing posts up under keywords? It is really kinda cool though, I have been playing with them all day.. haha

Pete, please_help.webs.com would be a subdomain of webs.com. You'd go to your hosting dashboard, find the icon for subdomains, create subdomain.

You can also do it, at least with wordpress, by having the first 160 characters be the default meta tag and hyperlinking to your homepage with the subdomain-like phrase.

If you use seo plugins, that means you leave the description section there blank.

What are you after? Why do you want it that way?

Hi Pete, what do you mean by 'meta tag' though? It seems from your example you want to have a subdomain setup as Labman said below...is this what you want?

I think it displays that way when it is a sub-domain. I may be wrong.
