My first Week at WA
Hi - thought I would just keep a record of my progress. I joined September 15. I followed the first 3 days of my course, then had to wait a further 6 days before the next lesson, which was initally frustrating, until I realised that I was getting 30 Days to Success in my inbox - one per day.
As I joined ready for the weekend, I spent the weekend beavering away. I didn't like the first call to action which was to tell my friends and family about WA. As far as I am concerned I am not selling this idea to anyone I love until I have tried it for myself and can honestly recommend it. After a week, I am feeling a bit better about doing this - might put something on my facebook this weekend.
The call to action to buy a domain was difficult - I didnt know what to buy or how to search keywords properly etc.. But heck - it cost me $7 - so not the end of the world. BUT as I purchased a review site, I figured I had to purchase the product so that I could honestly review it - that set me back another $200. That said, I believe this will be well worth the price as I get cheaper ezine advertisting, professional ads written, and lots of marketing advice so I think I stumbled onto a good one (thank goodness). But I guess it challenged my committment to this process - but I decided to rise to the challenge.
Then I decided to do the blog and funnel. Still having trouble there as noone in the forum has answered my question - the first email (sent to people who sign up for Mad Marketing) refers the reader to a FAQ on my website. Clearly I dont have one, and dont know what to write either! Waiting to get this resolved. But part of the process needed another investment - for the Aweber site - $1 for the first month, then $19 thereafter. Hmm still hoping my committment is good.
I have no idea how to check my SEO stats - thank goodness I stumbled on Carsons tute on it as it was just sitting there - it wasn't obvious I had to do anything (i.e. replacing the pipes with hyphens).
A few of the posts here have been really good and helpful, as have some of the people. I found potpie girl's info on what she would do if she had no money but a connection to the internet really eye opening - it was a bit of a step by step that I could actually understand! Perked me up.
Right now, no idea if I am getting any traffic or not. Not sure how to access my analytics. Still very confused. Work is busy, so I wont have a lot of time and on the weekend we have have to go away for a wedding, so time management will be pretty important this week i guess.
