EZine isn't Dead

Last Update: March 17, 2011

I submitted to EZine Articles over 2 weeks ago.  I submitted 2 spun articles which were my first articles ever.  I'll call this campaign 1.  Campaign 1 is the same Affiliate Campaign I used for my Facebook Ad Experiment.  I assumed my spun articles were disapproved because of all the latest changes to Google.

While I was waiting for approval, I discovered StreetArticles and started using them with Campaign 2.  I'm very passionate about campaign 2 and have a lot to contribute to this campaign.  I received approval from SA in hours, not weeks and got first page results on Google with some great keywords.  Very impressive, but so far I haven't gotten any sales.  I'm still working on my website everyday, but the learning curve has made it difficult to get things done as fast as I want.  So many widgets and plugins to check out and try.  I know what I want the site to be like in my head, I just need to find the right tools to make it happen.

EZine finally sent me emails yesterday letting me know that my articles have been approved.  Holy Cow.  Great.  But I didn't really care, since I've ditched campaign 1 thanks to the failed Facebook Ad campaign.

Today, I get 2 emails from the affiliate host of Campaign 1.  They are auto messages that let me know that somebody has opted-in to the email campaign.  So now I know that I get an email when someone joins my affiliate email list.  That means that out 32 clicks that I got from Facebook Ads, Nobody opted-in to email, because I never got an email from my affiliate company.  Since I quit my Facebook Ad Campaign a few days ago, what triggered someone to visit my site and opt-in to the email list?

It's because of my EZine Articles.  I logged into my affiliate console to find out which backlinks landed the lead.  Within a day of publishing my articles, I've got 2 leads.  I have to say that's impressive.

Since my Campaign 1 and Campaign 2 are completely different programs, I can't really compare Street Articles and EZine to each other yet.  I guess I could try writing some Campaign 1 Articles to SA, but writing original content for this campaign is tough for me.  SA doesn't allow article spinning.  I'll see if I can come up with something original, but to give you an idea of the kind of stuff I'd have to write, it would be helpful if I had a degree in Psychology or worked as a Therapist.

I'd also like to try Campaign 2 at EZine Articles, but waiting 2 weeks for approval is tough for this impatient Newbie.  But hey, if it gets good results, it's worth it.

EZA is probably just been taken a bit longer with new authors as they've been reviewing accounts for diamand level on top of their articles submissions. Think that's done now though but between the 2 there's no comparison. Street Articles does need a bit of backlinking at times as it is new but so does EZA as they have tons of others on similar or the same keywords.

I just havne't seen my articles rank as well as SA. I guess with recent changes they've been busy, strange that my articles were also approved in the last couple days. I submitted them back in FEBRUARY.

I really like EzineArticles. I have an article that provides tons of backlinks to a site I started a couple of years ago, plus there have been quite a few people that have placed the article on their site as well.

It shouldn't take 2 weeks at EZA. Usually they approve within a week. Try to get them over to them over the weekend so they have your articles on Monday morning when they are fresh. I think that'll work better for you.
