What Services to Offer Local Clients
Thank you guys for joining our local marketing chat June 29, it was another good one. This time we talked about different services that we can offer local businesses. Here is a "recap" of what we talked about.
We discussed the following services:
- Website creation – create websites for your local businesses.
- Social media – handle your local business facebook, twitter and pinterest account.
- Email campaigns – a lot of local businesses spend a lot of money in advertising, radio, tv, newspaper but they very rarely capture the email of the visitors. Set up an Aweber account and handle the monthly newsletters.
- YouTube videos - submit, optimize and rank videos for your local business.
- “Rent a site” - let local business advertise on your site, niche + city for example akrondentists.com.
- Press Releases – If there is a new business in town or a local business has a new product, offer to you write and submit an online press release.
- Article marketing - article writing and submissions to SA and EZA to increase traffic to their site.
- PPC – drive traffic to their
Just thought of another one that we did not talk about Google Places, there are still companies that are not listed in Google Places you can help them out with that. You can also help them rank well in Google Places.
Another one is credibility; help your local business create a reputation online. This can be done with testimonials on Google places and other review sites.
Another topic that came up was, if you should network in your local area or if you should focus on a niche.
“There are benefits with both, if you stay local then you become the go to person for local marketing, word of mouth becomes very important. If you go with the niche then you set up an email campaign or mail campaign... you can do both, I network in my local area and then I set up email campaigns...”
