Help Please? A Few Web Setup/Rubix Problems Really Have Me Stumped!
I think I'm at my bottleneck. Once I get past these issues, I think I'll really be on my way. But until I do, I'm stuck. Just churning.
If anyone would be kind enough to help me out here, I'd really appreciate it. I know the answers are probably in some of the tutorials and other materials on the WA site, but a little help will probably save me days digging them all out. Thanks in advance, and here's the post:
I've been at this for several hours now. I'm trying to get WA templates and ready-made sales pages to show up on my WA hosted website but it's just not working. The site is http://www.gregs-place.net. DNS servers, FTP, etc are all set up and working OK. The site shows up in my WA Hosting areas in Plesk. I can reach it by Core FTP with no problems. I deleted all of the files in httpdocs. At least Core indicates I have. But I'm having problems in 3 areas:
1. Problems with WA Templates Not Showing Up On Internet or in Site Rubix:
a. I downloaded a zipped WA template and unzipped the file. Then I uploaded to the httpdocs folder in gregs-place.net the WA template files I had just unzipped. They are superstyle.css, layout-001.psd, index.html and a folder called images. And I deleted all of the other files in the httpdocs folder before uploading. Having done all that, I should be able to go to gregs-place.net in Firefox on the internet and see the template, no? But all I get is the Plesk Domain Default Page.
b. And I can't get Site Rubix to "see" or upload the WA template files either. The only upload options that seem to be working are for images and videos. But my template files are neither images or videos, right? So how can I work with them using Rubix?
2. Problems with Ready Made Sales Pages Not Showing Up On Internet or in Site Rubix:
a. I did the same thing with some ready made sales pages I purchased. They came in a zipped file. I unzipped the file and got: index.html, style.css and a folder called images. Those files are supposed to give me a great, ready made sales page if I understand what I purchased. I thought I could either edit them or upload them just as they came.
b. But I can't do anything with them using Site Rubix. I can't even get Site Rubix to "see" them or upload the files into Rubix -- same as the WA template problem with Rubix. Rubix sees the templates that are built into Rubix and edits them just fine, but I need to work with files and templates that are not built in to Rubix. Is there any way to do that?
c. After I Core FTP those sales page files to the httpdocs subfolder of gregs-place.net, I can't see them on the internet either. Again, I get the Plesk Domain Default Page. And I'm pretty sure I deleted all other files in the httpdocs folder. I did it with Core and it indicated the files were successfully deleted. Only after that did I upload my sales page files.
d. So how can I get Rubix to "see" and let me edit/use my sales page files?
e. If that's not possible, what other program(s) do I need so that I can edit and then use/upload my sales pages?
f. And what do I need to do so I can see my sales pages on the internet after I upload them to the httpdocs folder using Core FTP? I know I'm missing something here, or doing it wrong. I'm starting to think maybe some kind of web building program is what I'm missing?POSSIBLE ANSWER TO STUFF NOT SHOWING UP ON THE INTERNET AFTER I FTP THE FILES TO MY SITE -- ??
Maybe I can't just use these WA templates files or sales page files the way they are? Maybe I have to load them into some kind of a web site building program and then upload them? Is that what I'm missing here?
[I'm kind of thinking this is maybe the answer for using WA templates (not the templates in Rubix) and off-the-shelf sales pages. Maybe I need to be using website building software, loading my index files into it, and only then FTP'ing the files outputted from my website building software up to my site. If that's right, what website building programs are the most popular with WA members?
g. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
3. Problems or Questions re uploading material to Site Rubix:
a. When trying to upload new media, Rubix gives 4 options -- http, images, videos and screenshots. But when I click on screenshots, it says the screenshots service has been discontinued. Is that what I need to be able to upload the WA templates and/or ready made sales pages? I'm not sure those files are screenshots, but nothing else seems to fit them.
b. And the HTTP option which I think is for Rich Text Format material doesn't seem to give me a place to either enter or upload Rich Text material. (Site Rubix is closed now, so I'm doing this part from memory.) When I click on the http option, I get a message saying it's for Rich Text Format, but there's no place to type in or upload any text, RTF or otherwise. So how I can get Rich Text Format into Rubix?

I know I've asked a lot of questions,
but I've been working at this most of the night and my head is getting
sore from banging it up against the wall. I'd really appreciate some
assistance. I've highlighted what I think might be the answer to a lot of what I've asked. I'm going to be trying a few website building programs while I wait for answers to my posts.
BTW, thanks Welshy for your PM and quick reply. It didn't answer all my questions, but it was helpful and I've sent you some gold. But there are still some of these questions I need to get resolved, so maybe a few other people will be able to help me, too.
Many thanks in advance --
Cheers --
